Medical Entrance Exams in India: There are numerous medical entrance exams conducted all over the country to offer the aspiring candidates admissions into medical colleges and schools. Most of the top universities provide admissions on the basis of NEET score while there are few others who conduct their own entrance exam. The interested candidate can check out the eligibility and admission procedure for admissions in different universities and apply accordingly. This article presents a few of the topmost medical entrance exam which can provide the candidates a promising future in this field.
National Level Medical Entrance Exams 2020-2021
NEET UG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) conducted by the CBSE board is one of the prominent examinations for granting the admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by various institutions across the country. Candidates can fill the application form in the month of January 2020.
The NEET PG exam is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) for providing admission into MD/MS courses offered by various medical colleges across the country. The online registration for January session will start from October 2018 and for June session; it will be started from April 2020.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi will be conducting entrance exam to grant admission in the undergraduate medical courses (MBBS). The interested can start filling the application form for the entrance exam from the month of February 2020.
The institute also organizes AIIMS PG Entrance Exam for selecting students for admissions in MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch courses. This exam is conducted twice a year, January & July and application form for both exams will be released on the official website.
The Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) organizes the medical entrance examination for providing candidates admission in MBBS programme. The interested students can apply for this examination in the month of March 2020.
JIPMER PG is a national level examination administrated for providing qualified admissions in MD/MS courses. This exam will be organized into two sessions, i.e January and July and the application form will be released in the month of March 2020.
Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test-Super Specialty (DNB CET-SS) is a national level exam conducted to provide candidates admissions in DM/M.Ch and DNB 3-year Super Specialty courses. This exam is organized by the NBE and is conducted twice a year (January and July Session).
University Level MBBS Admission 2020
The Delhi University offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of medical science. On the basis of marks secured in NEET, admission to MBBS course will be granted to the candidates. The application process for this will begin from the month of May 2020.
The Central Admission Committee (CENTAC) will be organizing admission procedure to offer the students enrollment in various government medical colleges of the country. The admission will be given on the basis of NEET scores and the application form will be available from the month of May 2020.
On the basis of NEET 2020 score, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will offer admission to students in MBBS programme. Candidates can fill and submit the application via online mode which will be released in the month of June 2020.
The Aligarh Muslim University will be providing the interested candidates admission in MBBS & BDS courses on the basis of NEET examination score. The admission form for the same will be released in the month of June 2020.
CMC Vellore (Christian Medical College) offers admissions to students in various UG, PG and diploma courses in the medical field. Admission to MBBS course will be done on the basis of NEET score followed by an aptitude test set by CMC.
SAAT MBBS Admission 2020
The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University will be offering the candidates admission in MBBS & BDS courses. The admission will be offered in the various constituent institutions of the university. Applicants will have to clear the NEET exam for getting enrolment in this university.
Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University offers admission in MBBS & BDS courses to the candidates who qualify the NEET examination. The admission and counseling process for this university will be conducted by MCC (Medical Common Counselling).
The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology will be offering admission in medical and dental undergraduate/postgraduate courses to the candidates. Those candidates who seek admission in this institute will have to clear their NEET exam.
Various undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be offered by the Manipal University in the field of medical and dental science. Admissions in PG medical courses will be granted through NEET PG and in MBBS & BDS through NEET UG scores.
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) conducts entrance test to grant the students admissions into MD/MS/DM/MDS and other PG courses. The interested candidates can register themselves for this exam in online mode. The examination is conducted twice a year, January and July.
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) gives admission in MBBS course on the basis of NEET examination. The application form will be released on the official website of the college most probably in the month of July 2020.
