DU SOL 2023: NCWEB Registration Started, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria

The School of Open Learning, Delhi University invites applications from the candidates for admission into its undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. Interested candidates can apply for the admissions as per the specified schedule through online mode. Before applying, the candidates should make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the specific course they wish to apply for. DU SOL 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates in order to apply for DU SOL 2023:

Nationality:

  • Those belonging to the Indian nationality, Indian nationals working in Indian missions abroad & their dependents and foreign national candidates residing in India are eligible.

Age limit:

  • Except for the courses where the age limit is set by the respective regulatory bodies (MCI, AICTE etc), there is no age limit to apply for the DU SOL admission 2023.

Academic qualification:

For UG degree courses:

    • B.Com: Candidates need to pass their class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board scoring not less than 40% marks in aggregate.
    • B.Com (Hons): A pass in class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with at least 55% aggregate marks (60% marks in case of vocational/ technical stream) and Commerce as a subject is required.
    • BA: The applicants should have cleared their class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
  • BA (Hons) in English: Applicants need to clear class 12th exam or equivalent exam from a recognized board with at least 65% aggregate marks. A minimum of 75% marks in English Core individually (65% marks in Functional English/ English Elective) and three academic subjects (no vocational stream) is necessary.
  • BA (Hons) in Political Science: Those with a pass in class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of one language and 3 academic subjects (no vocational stream) can apply.

For PG degree courses:

  • M.Com: A degree in B.Com with at least 70% marks in aggregate (65% marks for CW/ PWD category, 63% marks for OBC category & pass marks for SC/ ST category) is required.
  • MA in Hindi: Candidates should hold BA (Hons) degree in Hindi from the Delhi University with not less than 65% aggregate marks (58.5% marks for OBC category).
    • MA in History: The applicants should have a BA (Hons) degree in History from University of Delhi with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
  • MA in Sanskrit: Those with a BA (Hons) degree in Sanskrit from the Delhi University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (54% marks for OBC category) can apply. 
  • MA in Political Science: A pass in BA (Hons) degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi scoring a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is required.

DU SOL 2023 Application Form

The application form for DU SOL 2023 NCWEB is  available on the official website of the university https://ncwebadmission.uod.ac.in/. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility requirements mentioned above can fill and submit their application through online mode.

  • Candidates can fill the application form by providing their basic personal details, academic details and contact and other details.
  • Photograph and signature of the candidates in scanned format should also be uploaded in the application form.
  • After filling all the details as asked into the application form, the candidates can submit it online.
  • The candidates must submit the application on or before the last date as late applications will not be considered for further processing.
  • After final submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
  • There is no need to send hard copy of application form or any other document to the university.

Application fee:

  • To complete the application process, the candidates are required to make payment of a prescribed amount of application fee.
  • For each course the candidates want to apply, they need to pay Rs. 500/- as application fee.
  • For candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PWD category, the application fee will be Rs. 250/- per course.

DU SOL 2023 Admit Card

  • Admit card to appear in the entrance exam for PG courses will be made available through online mode.
  • The candidates will be able to download their admit card by visiting the DU SOL official website.
  • After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center on exam day.
  • No candidates will not be allowed to enter into the exam hall in the absence of an admit card and a valid identity proof.
  • Details related to the exam like center, date, time, etc along with some basic details of the candidates can be found on the admit card.

DU SOL Result 2023

  • The authorities will declare the result of the PG entrance exam tentatively in the month of July 2023.
  • On the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the exam, a merit list will be drawn of the qualified candidates.
  • For admission to different courses, separate merit lists will be prepared by the authorities.
  • Merit list for admission to UG courses will be made on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of the university.
  • Further process of admission of the candidates will be carried out as per their names in the merit list.

DU SOL 2023 Admission

  • Candidates shortlisted for admission will have to get their documents and eligibility verified first.
  • Reporting candidates must carry with them all their documents in original and photocopy.
  • Details related to the admission process will be communicated to the candidates via the official website of the university.
  • After successful verification, final admission will be granted to the candidates and study material will be provided after that.

DU SOL 2023 FAQs

What are the criteria for admission into the UG and PG courses of DU SOL?

In undergraduate courses, admission is granted to the candidates on the basis of their class 12th marks. Selection of candidates for postgraduate courses is done on the basis of marks in entrance exam conducted by the university.

Can I apply for admission to multiple courses in DU SOL?

Yes. Depending on your eligibility, you can apply for admission to multiple courses in DU SOL.

Will the authorities send the PG exam admit card through offline mode?

No. The admit card will only be released on the official website of the university and will not be sent through post or courier.

What if I fail to get my documents verified in the given time?

Candidates who fail to get their documents verified in the given time period will not be considered for admission. No request will be entertained in this regard.

I haven’t cleared my qualifying exam yet. Can I still apply for admission?

Candidates who will clear their qualifying exam in the year 2023 before the commencement of admission process can apply.
