Admission into B.Ed programme offered by the institutes of Maharashtra state is offered on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET). Admit card for the exam has been released on 4th October 2021. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on 6th and 7th October 2021. Those who fulfill the basic eligibility can apply for the exam, if interested. MAH B.Ed CET Eligibility Criteria 2021

Nationality: Candidates of Indian nationality, NRI, PIO, OCI, foreign national candidates and Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries are eligible to apply.

Candidature: The candidates belonging to the candidature given below can apply for MH B.Ed CET.

Maharashtra state candidature:

Maharashtra State candidature Type A Candidates who are Domicile of Maharashtra or are born in Maharashtra
Maharashtra State candidature Type B Candidates whose father/ mother/ both are domicile of Maharashtra and do not fall under type A
Maharashtra State candidature Type C Candidates who have completed SSC & HSC from the state and whose father/ mother/ both are employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra
Maharashtra State candidature Type D Candidates who have completed bachelor’s/ master’s degree from the state and whose father/ mother/ both are employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
Maharashtra State candidature Type E Candidates who have completed bachelor’s/ master’s degree from a recognized institute from a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi

Minority candidature Candidate of Maharashtra domicile belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from within the state

Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidature Children of citizens who are displaced from Jammu & Kashmir to any part of India or to a relatively safer place in Jammu & Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities or Children of officers belonging to IAS/ IPS/ IFS and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu & Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission or Children of staff and officers of Jammu & Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism

Qualification:

  • Candidates who hold an undergraduate and/ or postgraduate degree in Science/ Mathematics/ Commerce/ Social Science/ Humanity Science scoring at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) are eligible. The bachelor’s/ master’s degree should be in the following subject specialization as applicable:

  • Those with a bachelor’s and/ or master’s degree in engineering and technology with specialization in Sciences and Mathematics and a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for reserved category candidates) in aggregate can also apply.
  • Applicants with a degree in Management, Computer Science, Law, Information Technology, Agriculture, Bachelor of Banking & Insurance, Medical Sciences, Fine Arts and Performing Arts are eligible too.
  • The candidates with a degree in Social Science with specialization in Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Journalism, Ancient History & Culture, Mass Media, Heritage Management, Labor Studies, Statistics and Home Science can apply too.

MH B.Ed CET 2021 Application Form

Interested candidates can fill the application form for MAH B.Ed CET 2021 through online mode. The application form will be released on the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State www.mahacet.org.

  • In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details like name, DOB, gender, qualifying exam passing year, college name, etc.
  • Candidates also need to upload their photograph and signature in scanned format in the application form.
  • Choice for exam center should also be provided into the application form in the order of preference.
  • Duly filled application form can then be submitted on or before the last prescribed date.
  • Along with the application form, a specified amount of application fee also needs to be submitted.
  • The candidates should take a printout of the submitted application and keep it safe for future reference.

Application fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 800/- for general candidates and Rs. 400/- for reserved category candidates.
  • Payment of application fee can be done online using credit card/ debit card or internet banking.

MH B.Ed CET 2021 Syllabus

The syllabus for Maharashtra B.Ed CET exam 2021 is provided below:

  • Mental Ability: Syllogism, Series Completion, Coding & Decoding, Problems on Dice, Analogies, Classification, Blood Relationship, etc
  • General Knowledge: Current Affairs, Local, National & International Knowledge including Past Events, Literature Political Science, Civics, History, Geography  Science & Technology, etc
  • Teacher Aptitude: Leadership Qualities, Knowledge & Awareness about changes in Education & Society, Communication & Professional Commitment, etc

Admit Card 2021

  • The admit card for MAH B.Ed CET 2021 will be released around 15 days before the exam.
  • Candidates will be able to download their admit card using their registration details.
  • After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center.
  • Candidates who report the center without a valid admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • The admit card should be kept safe by the candidates as it will be required at the time of admission also.
  • Admit card will contain the important details related to exam such as center venue, date and time.

MAH B.Ed CET 2021 Result & Counseling

  • The result of the MAH B.Ed CET will be announced online on the official website of the State Cell.
  • Candidates who secure marks more than the prescribed cut-off will be considered as qualified.
  • A merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared by the authorities in the order of ranking.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the counseling round as per their names in the merit list.
  • At the time of counseling, the candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for colleges.
  • Documents of the candidates will also be verified after which they will be granted final admission.

Can candidates outside of Maharashtra state apply for B.Ed entrance exam?

Yes, but only those who belong to the state of Maharashtra will be eligible for any type of reservation.

I am currently studying in my final year graduation programme. Can I apply for B.Ed exam?

The candidates who will clear their final year graduation exam in the year 2021 can apply for the Maharashtra B.Ed entrance exam 2021.

Can I apply for the exam through offline mode?

No. The application form for MAH B.Ed CET will only be released through online mode.

How do I get exam center of my choice?

The exam center will be allotted on first-come first-serve basis. To get an exam center of your choice, you need to submit your application as early as possible.

Can I get my B.Ed admit card through offline mode?

The admit card for the B.Ed exam will only be released on the official website of the Maharashtra State Cell. No admit card will be sent through post, courier or any such means.
