HP CET 2022: Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test

Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) will conduct the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test 2022 or HP CET 2022. This exam will offer admissions to B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, M.Tech, M. Pharmacy, MCA and MBA courses in the colleges affiliated to HPTU. The application form for HP CET 2022 exam has been released now and the mode of application is online.

The exam will be conducted in offline (Pen & Paper based mode) and the question paper will be common for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy and B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda) course. HP CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to appear for the HP CET 2022 exam.

For B.Tech

• The candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics as a compulsory subject and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology and technical vocational subjects.
• The candidates must also have at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for candidates from reserved categories) in the above mentioned subjects.

For B.Pharmacy

• The aspirant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one of Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology and technical vocational subject. The aspirant must have 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the subject mentioned above.
• The candidate should complete the age of 17 years as on 31^st December 2022.

For MBA

• The aspirant must possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for candidates from reserved categories)

For MCA

• The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for candidates from reserved categories)
• The aspirant must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

Note: The candidates appearing for the qualifying exam can also apply.

HP CET 2022 Application Form

The candidates aspiring to appear for this exam can apply in online mode through the official website. The aspirant should enter all their educational, personal and contact details in the application form very carefully. After submitting the details, the candidates have to upload the scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature and guardian signature in the application form. After uploading the document, the applicants have to pay the HP CET 2022 application fee.

It is recommended that the candidates should keep a printout of duly filled application form for future reference.

• The application fee can be paid via PNB e-challan, credit card, debit card or net banking.

HP CET 2022 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the HP CET exam will be as follows:

Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen and Paper Based Exam)

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours for B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Tech. 2 Hours for MBA and MCA

Type of Questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions will be asked.

Marking Scheme: 2 marks will be awarded for a correct answer. 0.5 marks will be deducted in case of an incorrect answer.

HP CET 2022 Syllabus

As the HP CET 2022 exam will be held for admission to different courses, the syllabus will also be different for all the courses. The candidates are advised to check the syllabus page in order to know the detailed syllabus of the entrance exam for which they are applying.

The syllabus for admission to B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ B.Pharma (Ayurveda) courses will be as follows:

Physics: Laws of motion, Physics & measurement, energy & power, Work, gravitation, Rotational motion, properties of solids & liquids, Kinetic theory of gases, Thermodynamics, Oscillation & waves, Magnetic effects of current & magnetism, Current electricity,  Electrostatics, Optics, EM Waves, EMI & AC etc.

Chemistry: solutions, States of matter, atomic structure, some basic concepts of chemistry, chemical bonding, redox reaction & electrochemistry, chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, solutions, surface chemistry, equilibrium, d & f block elements, s & p block elements, coordination compound etc.

Mathematics: Quadratic equations, Sets, relations & functions, matrices & determinants, mathematical induction, permutation & combination, Binomial theorem & its applications, 3D geometry, Sequence & series, vector algebra, Probability, Statistics, Mathematical reasoning , Trigonometry etc.

How to prepare for HP CET 2022 exam?

A lot of candidates will be appearing for the HP CET exam. So, it is important that the candidates must prepare well in order to obtain a good rank. Here are some tips that can help the candidates prepare for the exam.

1. Make a well structure time table and follow it strictly. The time table should be practical in nature which you can genuinely follow.
2. Brush up your basic concepts first, so that you can under the advanced topics based on the basics.

HP CET 2022 Admit Card

The admit card for HP CET 2022 exam will be made available through the official website of the HPTU. The details regarding the exam center and exam dates will be mentioned on the admit card. It will be mandatory for every candidate to carry a hard copy of admit card along with a photo identity proof at the exam center. HP CET Result 2022

The candidates can check the result of HP CET 2022 exam from the official website.  It is expected that the university will announce the result in the last week of May 2022. The result will also be available on the notice board of the university. The result card should be kept safe by the candidates as it will be required at the time of counselling.

HP CET 2022 Counselling

The candidates who will be successful in the exam will be invited to participate in the counselling process. The counselling will be held on different dates for different courses. The candidates have to get their documents verified at the time of counselling. The HPCET 2022 counselling may conclude in many rounds depending upon the availability of seats.
