HPCET Eligibility Criteria- Eligibility Requirements for UG & PG

HPCET eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the aspirants who wish to appear for the test. The eligibility criteria will specify the minimum requirements that are necessary for the candidates to satisfy if they wish to be considered for admissions. For the UG courses, the candidates must have passed/ appear in their class 12th exam and for PG courses, their bachelor’s degree final exam. Only those meeting the eligibility requirements must proceed towards filling the HPCET Application Form. The candidates found ineligible at any stage of admissions or even afterwards will be disqualified and forfeit any submitted fees.

HPCET Eligibility Criteria

The detailed eligibility criteria for the different undergraduate and postgraduate courses for which the common entrance test will be conducted are given below.

For undergraduate courses:

  • B.Tech (Direct Entry): The candidates should have passed the class 12th exam or equivalent from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Mathematics and any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category candidates) in aggregate of these subjects.
  • B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry): A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry and any one of the Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for the reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together is required. The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as before 31st December 2019.
  • B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda): Those who have passed their 12 standard or any other equivalent exam from a recognized board/ university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects and at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category candidates) in aggregate of the above subjects taken together are eligible.

For postgraduate courses:

  • M.Tech: A pass in the bachelor’s degree programme (BE/ B.Tech) in the relevant branch or any equivalent degree from a recognized institute/ university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved category candidates) is required.
  • M.Pharmacy: The applicants should have passed their bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharmacy) or equivalent from a recognized institute/ university securing at least 50% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates) in aggregate.
  • MBA: Those who have completed their 3-year (minimum) bachelor’s degree programme from a recognized institute/ university in any stream and have secured at least 50% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates) at the qualifying examination are eligible.
  • MCA: A pass in a bachelor’s degree in any stream or equivalent from a recognized institute/ university securing at least 50% marks (45% for the reserved category candidates) are mandatory. Along with this, a pass in Mathematics at 10+2 or at degree level is also required.

Note:

The candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for HPCET given that they will be able to meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria before admission.
