BCECE Eligibility Criteria: Age, Qualification, Domicile

BCECE Exams are conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board every year in the month of April. It is a state level common entrance examination organized in offline mode only for admissions in different UG Engineering, Medical, Agriculture and other Courses offered by different colleges in Bihar. The requirements and conditions specified for admissions makes up the eligibility criteria of BCECE. The eligibility criteria for the entrance exam include age constraint; nationality , academic qualification etc  , which candidates need to comply with in order to appear in Exam. Therefore Candidates are suggested to follow the article carefully as it includes important and updated information for them. Before filling the form, candidates must check the Eligibility criteria for BCECE Exam.

  • There is no fixed age limit for candidates wishing to appear for BCECE entrance examination.
  • If a candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified and will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  • There is certain percentage of seats covered under Reserved Category.
  • However, only those candidates who belong to Bihar will be eligible for reservation. Candidates from other states will not be able to apply for reservation.

BCECE Eligibility

The candidates aspiring to appear for BCECE Exam, needs to check the below Eligibility Criteria in order to further fill out the form.

Domicile Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India
  2. Candidate should belong to Bihar.
  3. Parents of the candidate must be a permanent resident of Bihar.
  4. Candidates whose parents are registered refugee of Bihar are also eligible.
  5. Candidates with parents belonging from different state, but are government employee of Bihar can also apply for BCECE.

Age Eligibility Criteria:

Medical Minimum 17 years as on 31st December 2022
Engineering and Pharmacy No Age Restriction
Agriculture Minimum 16 years as on 31st August 2022

Note:  For admissions, candidates will have to pass a medical test. Those who pass the medical test will be allowed to take admission.

·  Qualifying Exam: Must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized board.

·  Subject: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics (Compulsory) and anyone of the elective subject – Chemistry, Biology or Technical Vocation subject.

·  Minimum Marks Required: 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category in Above Exam.

· Candidates who are appearing may also apply.

· Qualifying Exam: Must have passed intermediate or its equivalent exam from recognized board.

 

·    Subject:  Must have passed above Exam with Physics and Chemistry (Compulsory) and anyone of the elective subjects from Biology or Mathematics.

 

·  Minimum Marks Required: 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Category in Above Exam.

·   Candidates appearing in 12th or equivalent exam may also apply; but they must have passed the appearing exam during counseling phase.

·  Qualifying Exam: Must have passed 10+2/HSC/ISC or its equivalent exam from recognized university.

·   Subject:  Must have passed above Exam with English (Language and literature) and Physics , Chemistry and Biology( Botany and Zoology)
