UPTU MCA 2020: Application Form, Eligibility, Dates

The admission to MCA program offered by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh is done through the UPSEE entrance exam on an annual basis. Applicants need to apply for UPTU MCA 2020 in order to be eligible for admission in the MCA and MCA integrated program.

UPTU MCA 2020 Exam Pattern

Candidates seeking admission in MCA course need to appear in Paper-10 of the UPSEE entrance exam. The exam pattern of the UPTU MCA entrance exam is as follows-

  • Mode of the Exam: Online (Computer-based exam)

Syllabus

The syllabus for UPTU MCA entrance examination is provided below-

Mathematics: Modern Algebra, Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Coordinate geometry, calculus, vectors, dynamics and statics.

Statistics: Theory of probability, Mean, Median, Mode, Dispersion and Standard Deviation.

Logical Ability: Decision making, Direction sense, Blood relations, Puzzles, Sitting arrangement, Syllogism, Classification, Number series, Statement-Assertion etc.

Preparation Tips for UPTU MCA 2020

Here are some useful tips through which candidates can score good marks in the UPTU MCA entrance examination-

  1. Go through the syllabus very carefully first.
  2. Collect reliable reference books and prepare basic concepts.
  3. After done with the brushing up of basics then only proceed for the complex topics.
  4. Devote equal time to all the subjects.
  5. Practice mathematics and reasoning every day.
  6. Make a separate notebook for keeping the short tricks or important formulas.
  7. Solve mock papers on a regular basis.
  8. Avoid eating junk food and skipping meals. Always try to eat healthy food.
  9. Go outside and take some fresh air to ease your mind. Do yoga and meditation, if required.
  10. Stay away from the distractions such as mobile phones, relatives, internet, television etc.

UPTU MCA 2020 Application Form

Candidates can apply for the exam only through online mode by visiting the official website of the UPSEE. Applicants can start filling the form from 4th week of January 2020. They should ensure their eligibility before proceeding for the form. The form must be filled with proper attention as per the official records. They need to fill the details such as personal details, educational details, bank details etc in the application form.

Candidates can edit/correct their particulars in the form before the final submission of the same. They will be required to upload the scanned images of the signature and photograph in the form. It is mandatory for the applicants to pay the required application fee for the form. The application received without the application fee will be rejected by the authority. The application form once submitted will not be considered for correction/editing.

Application Fee

The entrance exam fee to be paid by the candidates is Rs. 1300/- for the Male/Transgender of General and OBC category and Rs. 650/- for SC/ST/PH/Female candidates. The stated payment can be made through the online mode i.e. using credit card/debit card/net banking.

Eligibility Criteria for UPTU MCA 2020

The eligibility criteria for the UPTU MCA exam is as follows –

Nationality: Indian, Foreign, PIO and CIWGC candidates can apply for the examination.

Age criteria: No age limit specified for the MCA course.

Educational Qualifying (MCA): Candidates should have done bachelors in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Such candidates should also have passed Mathematics at +2 level or graduation level.

Education Qualification (MCA Integrated): Candidates should have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology /Biology / Technical Vocational and have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates).

UPTU MCA 2020 Admit Card

The admit card can be downloaded from the official website. The authority will release the admit card on its official website. Candidates should take the printout of the hall ticket and keep it safe for future reference. The admit card must be brought to the examination center or else the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam. It must not be damaged or mutilated otherwise it will be rejected by the authority. Candidates should check the details printed in the admit card and inform the authority without delay in case any discrepancy is found.

Result and Counselling

Candidates can check the result of the UPTU MCA 2020 examination from the official website. The result will most probably be announced in the month of June 2020. The authority will announce a merit list of the candidates selected for admission based on the marks obtained by them in the exam. After that, such candidates will be invited for the counselling process, where they will be allotted a seat in a college as per the merit rank, choice selected by them during counselling and the availability of seats in the college. The schedule of the counselling will be published on the official website of the UPSEE.
