UCEED 2022: Admit Card (Download Now), Exam Date, Exam Pattern

UCEED 2022 corresponds to the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design that is organized annually by IIT Bombay granting admission to the students in the B.des program offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and ITTDM Jabalpur. To be applicable for the entrance exam, candidates must apply for the same as per the eligibility criteria set by the institute. The online application form can be filled through the official website of the UCEED.

It is necessary for the interested candidates to know that simply cracking the entrance exam will not guarantee admission into the said UG course. After qualifying the exam, candidates will have to apply separately to each institute for admission. UCEED 2022 Application Form

Candidates can register themselves through the online web portal of the UCEED. To register, they need to provide some basic details such as name, religion, caste, Email ID, phone number, educational details etc. The details in the form should be entered very carefully. There is a fine of Rs. 500/- for those who submit the registration form after the deadline has passed. Candidates will also be required to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the form. They must pay the required amount of the application fee to submit the form on time. The form should be reviewed before making the final submission.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for Women, SC and ST candidates is Rs. 1180/- whereas, other candidates need to pay Rs. 2360/-. Those who fill the form late must pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/- along with the regular registration fee.

Mode of Payment: The registration fee can be paid through the online mode i.e. with the use of credit card/debit card/net banking.

Eligibility Criteria for UCEED 2022

Before proceeding for the application form filling, candidates should make sure that they fit the requirements laid down by the institute for the appearing in the exam-

Age criteria: Candidates should not have been born on or after 1^st October 1997. Those belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category should not have been born on or after 1^st October 1992.

No. of Attempts: Maximum two attempts are permitted to take the exam in the consecutive years.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed class 12^th or its equivalent in the year 2019 from a recognized board/university with any stream (Science, Commerce or Humanities). Those appearing in class 12^th may also apply.

UCEED 2022 Exam Pattern

Candidates can note down the UCEED Exam Pattern for their reference as provided below-

• Exam Mode: Online (Computer-based test)
• Duration: 3 Hours
• Language: English only
• Marking Scheme: For each right answer in-

Section A: +4 marks will be awarded

Section B: +4 marks will be awarded

Section c: +3 marks will be awarded

• Negative Marking:

Section A: Not applicable, 0 marks will be given for incorrect answer.

Section B: Answering incorrectly will fetch 0 marks.

Section C: 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Syllabus

Here is the syllabus for UCEED 2022 that candidates need to prepare accordingly-

Observation & Design Sensitivity: Ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes, Applying attention to details, analyzing, reasoning, classifying, inferring and predicting etc.

Design Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to use visual analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols. Ability to understand complexity, identify problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions.

Visualization & Spatial Ability: Understanding of transformation and/or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships, Pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.

Language & Creativity: Ability to understand and use Standard English, Reading comprehension, knowledge of English grammar such as sentence structure and usage, the use of tenses, verb patterns, articles, and active and passive constructions etc., and vocabulary skills etc.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning: Ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature, and discern patterns within the information, Ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions, Ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria Ability to use logic and structured thinking to deduce from a short passage etc.

Environment & Social Awareness: General awareness of environmental factors such as climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution, weather, natural resources, Awareness of social and cultural connection with design, history of the designed artifact, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses etc.

Preparation Tips for UCEED 2022

Here are some preparation tips that’ll help the candidates succeed in the entrance exam-

1. Read the newspapers and magazines to broaden your general knowledge and stay up-to-date with the current events.
2. Pay attention to the details surrounding you.
3. Understand elements and basic principles of design, like colour theory, typography, animation techniques. For eg: walk cycles etc.
4. Familiarize yourself with topics like famous designers and iconic products, Art history and movements (including literature and sculpture), Architectural history, monuments, elements, terminology etc.
5. Go through the syllabus and prepare accordingly.
6. Go through the previous year questions to understand the level of difficulty.

UCEED 2022 Admit Card

The admit card for UCEED exam can be downloaded from the official website i.e. www.uceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates need to take a printout of the hall ticket downloaded from the website. They should check the details printed on the form thoroughly such as name, exam center, reporting time, roll number, photograph etc. If any discrepancy is found, then they must contact the officials immediately to rectify the mistake. For that, applicants need to contact the Chairman (JEE Advanced), UCEED & CEED 2022 before the date mentioned in the article. It is mandatory for all the applicants to carry their admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam center. Failing which, they won’t be allowed to take the exam.

Result

The UCEED 2022 result will be published by the authority on its official website. Candidates can check the score obtained by them in the exam by visiting the same. To see the result, applicants will have to login into the web portal using the registration details. The authority will not send the scorecard individually to any candidate.
