TISS Eligibility Criteria 2022

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for TISS admission are discussed below:

  • For BA program: A pass in class 12th exam from a recognized board is required. Upper age limit as on 30 June 2022 is 20 years for general/ OBC candidates and 23 years for SC/ ST candidates.
  • For MA program: Candidates should have successfully completed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree of minimum of 3 or 4 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study from a university recognized by UGC.
  • For M.Phil/ PhD program: Those with a second class master’s degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject with at least 55% of aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC- NCL/ PWD candidates) can apply. A minimum of five years of post graduation work experience is required for PhD programmes. In case of M.Phil programme, there is no requirement of work experience. However, candidates with one to two years of work experience will be preferred.

TISS Application Form 2022

TISS application form 2022 is likely to release in the month of October 2021 and will be available only through online mode. Candidates can get the application form by visiting the official website www.admissions.tiss.edu.

  • Applicants will have to register themselves first providing details such as name, date of birth, gender, email id, mobile number and create a password.
  • After all these details are submitted successfully, the process of registration will complete.
  • Now by using the registered email address and the password the candidates can obtain the application form.
  • Into the application form, rest personal details academic details, correspondence details, etc need to be provided.
  • Candidates should also upload their photograph and signature into the application form in scanned format.
  • Category and disability certificate, if applicable, need to be uploaded in the application form as well.
  • The duly-filled application form can then be submitted online along with the prescribed amount of application fee.
  • On successful submission, a printout of the application form should be taken and kept for future reference.

Application fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST candidates & Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST and OBC candidates with annual family income less than 2.5 lakhs and 1 lakh respectively).
  • Payment of application fee can be done online using net banking/ debit card/ credit card or offline via challan.

TISS 2022 Admit Card

  • Admit card for TISS exam will be published online and can be downloaded by the candidates from the official website of the institute.
  • A printout of the downloaded admit card should be taken by the candidates to be carried to the exam center.
  • Details related to the candidates and that to the exam like name, roll number, venue, schedule, etc will be printed on the admit card.
  • Entry into the examination hall will only be granted to the candidates with a valid admit card.
  • Candidates are suggested to keep their admit card safe even after the exam as it will be required during the admission.

TISS Result & Admission 2022

  • The result of both NET and BAT exam will be published online as per the prescribed schedule.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result and download their score card by visiting the official website of the institute.
  • For PG courses, an interview of those who clear the entrance test will be conducted and final result will be declared after that.
  • Those who clear all the prescribed rounds of the selection process will have to upload documents for verification and make payment of prescribed fee.
  • All the provisionally selected candidates have to undergo medical check-up which will be conducted by the Medical Officers of the institute.
  • Admission of the candidates will be considered final after document verification, medical check-up and fees payment.

TISS Admission 2022 FAQs

Can I apply for more than one MA course at TISS?

Yes. You can apply for different MA programmes through a single application form. Payment for each of the programs applied for should be done separately.

How do I provide my choice for exam center?

Candidates will be able to give their preference for one centre at the time of filling the online application. This preference cannot be changed through a phone call or email or in person.

For M.Phil and PhD programme, what should be the format of research proposal to be submitted?

The proposal should consist of approximately 1,000 words and indicate the specification of the broad field of study, statement of the research problem and scope and objectives of the study, rationale for and the significance of the study, methodology to be followed, references, and the candidate’s research/work experience in that area, if any.

If I fail to report for admission in the prescribed time limit, what should I do?

The candidates who fail to report for the admission will lose their candidature and their seat. no request from such candidates will be entertained.
