Candidates wishing to pursue M.Tech from SRM University must apply for the SRMGEET entrance exam by filling the application form. They should however first check the SRMGEET eligibility criteria specified by the University. Ineligible candidates won’t be permitted to take the exam. Candidates must make sure they meet the necessary conditions required to pursue M.Tech as per the criteria stated. Indian/PIO and OCI can apply for the SRMJEEE PG exam. Before proceeding for the application form, candidates must make sure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by the authority.
SRMGEET Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for SRMJEEE PG exam are as follows-
Nationality: Resident Indians or NRIs, PIO and OCI candidates can apply for the exam.
Percentage required: Candidates should have scored at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
Qualifying Examination
- Structural Engineering: Candidates should have done B.E/ B.Tech in Civil/ Civil Infrastructure Engg./ Architectural Engineering. They should have scored minimum 60% aggregate marks.
- Construction Engineering and Management: Candidates should have completed B.E/ B.Tech in Civil/ Civil Infrastructure Engg/ Architectural Engg or B.Arch.
- Remote sensing and GIS: Candidates should have completed B.E./ B.Tech (Civil/ Civil Infrastructure/ Architectural Engg./ Geo Informatics/ CSE/ ECE/ EEE/ IT/ Agricultural Engg/ Urban & Regional Planning) or B.Sc. (4 years) – Agriculture / Forestry / Horticulture/ Geography or M.Sc./ M.A (Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geo Physics/ Geography/ Geo Informatics/ Physics/ Maths/ Oceanography/ Environmental Science).
- Environmental Engineering:E/ B.Tech (Civil/ Civil Infrastructure/ Architecture Engg./ Chemical/ Biotechnology), or M.Sc (Environmental Science/ Ecology/ Environmental Ecology/ Environmental Chemistry).
- Geo Technical Engineering: Applicants must have done B.E/ B.Tech (Civil/ Civil Infrastructure/ Architecture Engg./ Geo Informatics/ Structural Engg.) or M.Sc. ( Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geophysics with Maths background).
- Computer Aided Design:E/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engg. / Production Engg. / Automobile Engg./ Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engg (or) AMIE (Mech)/ AMAeSI(Aero)/ IMechE. (Or) any equivalent degree in the above Disciplines.
- Computer Integrated Manufacturing: Candidates must have finished B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engg./ Production Engg./ Industrial Engg./ Automobile Engg./ Metallurgical/ Metallurgy Engg./ Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engg./ Mechatronics Engg. - Solar Energy: B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ AMIE (Mechanical Engineering)/ AMAeSI/ IMechE/ M.Sc.(Physics) (or) any equivalent degree in the above discipline.
- Automotive Hybrid Systems Engineering:E/ B.Tech in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Aeronautical/ Mechatronics/ Production/ Electrical/ ECE/ EEE/ Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg with aggregate & final year score over 60%. GATE Score and/ or work experience in related area is preferred. Selection through entrance and interview. Equal Proportion to both streams of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will be considered in selection.
