Gender
- Rashtriya Military School Ajmer admission is open to boys only.
Age Limit
- For class 6th Admission: the age of a boy should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31st March 2023. (Born between 1st April 2010 and 31st March 2012)
- For class 9th Admission: the age of the boy looking for admission must be between 13 and 15 years as on 1st July 2023. (Born between 1st April 2007 and 31st March 2009)
Note: 6 months relaxation in the upper age limit is given to the wards of war widows of Officers, JCOs/ORs killed in action.
Education Qualification
- 6th Class Admission: There are no criteria for mandatory previous educational qualification
- 9th Class Admission: The candidates must have passed 8th class from a govt./ recognized school before the date of admission.
- Students who are in the 8th class can apply for the entrance exam.
Medical Fitness
- The candidates must be medically fit. Selected candidates need to undergo a medical exam at Military Hospitals as nominated by the Director-General of Medical Services prior to admission.

Candidates who are eligible may go through the instructions below to apply for the RMS Ajmer Admission 2023.
- Interested parents or candidates may collect the application form available at all Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST students) via Cash or DD.
- Alternatively, the application forms can also be obtained by post. For that, the applicant has to forward a self-addressed slip along with a demand draft of Rs. 650/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST students).
- The demand draft must be drawn in favour of “Principal, Rashtriya Military School”.
- After getting the application form, it is very important to enter the details accurately in good handwriting.
- Along with the details, the candidates should paste their photograph and signature in the prescribed space.
- The duly filled application form in original (not a photocopy) must be submitted at Rashtriya Military School Ajmer before the last date.

Syllabus
- There is no fixed syllabus for the entrance exam.
- The general level of questions will be of class 5th and 8th standard for admission to 6th and 9th class respectively.
- Candidates may answer the questions either in English or Hindi language as per their preference.
Rashtriya Military School Ajmer 2023 Interview
- Those candidates who will clear the written exam will get an invitation for the interview.
- For 6th class admission, the interview will be of 20 marks. On the other hand, the interview for class 9th admission will carry 50 marks.
- During the interview, authorities will judge the candidates on various parameters.

Reservation Policy
The following reservation policy will be applicable during the preparation of an admission merit list.
- 70% of the total seats are reserved for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF (including ex-serviceman)
- 30% of the total seats are reserved for wards of officers of Army, Navy and AF and wards of civilians
- 15% and 7.5% horizontal reservation will be given to the SC and ST candidates respectively.

Rashtriya Military School Ajmer 2023 Scholarship Programs
The school provides scholarships to the 15% non-entitled students (sons of service officers and civilians). These scholarships are provided based on a scholarship test organized by the Army headquarter. The rules of scholarships are as follows.
