PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT 2022) will be organized by the PES University, Bangalore for admission into various UG and PG programmes offered by it. Through the test, students can enroll themselves in courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, B.Des, MCA, B.Arch, BBA LLB etc. To be eligible for the admission, students must appear for the exam by filling the application form which can be obtained from the official website of the PES University.

Eligibility Criteria for PESSAT 2022
The eligibility criteria for the PESSAT exam is provided below-

B.Tech | An applicant should have passed class 12th from a recognized board with science stream and have obtained minimum 60% aggregate marks. |
BBA | Candidates should have passed class 12th from a recognized board |
B.Des | Candidates should have passed class 12th from a recognized board and have secured at least 50% aggregate marks. |
M.Tech | An applicant should possess a valid B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized university/institute |
MBA | An applicant must have done full-time (regular) graduation in any discipline and have secured minimum 60% marks. |
PESSAT 2022 Application Form
The application cum registration form for the PESSAT exam will be available online on the official website of the University. No other mode except the online one will be considered for filling the application form. The application form will include details such as course name, applicant’s name, gender, email id, mobile number, address, educational details etc.
Applicants need to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the online form. They also need to pay a requisite amount of the application fee without which their applications will be rejected by the authority. Before submitting the form candidates should ensure that the details they have provided in the form are true to their knowledge. After submitting the form, students must take the printout of the form for future use.
Application Fee
Applicants need to pay Rs 1050/- as the application fee for the exam. The fee is non-refundable and can be paid using any of the modes given-

PESSAT 2022 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for PESSAT is as follows-
- Exam Mode: Online (except for B.Des)
- Exam Duration: 180 minutes for B.Tech and 120 minutes for the rest of the courses
- Total no. of questions: 180 questions for B.Tech and 120 questions for other programs
- Negative Marking: Not applicable

Syllabus for PESSAT 2022
The syllabus for PESSAT varies from course to course. Candidates seeking admission in UG courses should study as per the syllabus prescribed for class 11th and 12th. Those who want to pursue PG courses should prepare the relevant UG syllabus. Candidates can take an idea from the syllabus given below for some of the courses-
B.Tech: Students should prepare the topics studied in class 11th and 12th (PCM subject group). The English part of the paper will be composed of Basic English questions such as comprehension, fill in the blanks, grammar, sentence rearrangement, vocabulary, etc.
MBA: The syllabus for MBA will be based on the English comprehension, analytical and logical reasoning, quantitative analysis, general awareness. The questions will be general in nature. In logical reasoning candidates should prepare puzzles, seating arrangement, directions sense, syllogism, Venn diagram, classification, analogy etc. The general awareness part can ask questions from Indian history, geography, polity, environment etc.
Preparation Strategy
With an effective exam strategy, anyone can crack this exam. Here are some few tips that will help the students in securing good marks in the exam-
- Make a realistic timetable that you can easily follow. Don’t stuff it with unnecessary goals.
- Go through the syllabus and analyze the areas you’re weak or strong in.
- First prepare the concepts you need improvement in and then only proceed to the stronger ones.
- Practice at least 1 mock paper daily.
- Read the newspaper for knowledge of the current affairs.
- Don’t forget to revise the topics at the end of the day.
- Avoid distractions during studies and keep the mobile phone away while doing the same.
PESSAT 2022 Admit Card
Candidates can obtain the admit card once they have booked the slots for the exam. The admit card can be downloaded after the booking of the exam slots. The authority will not send the hall ticket by post or any other means except the online one. Candidates should take the printout of the admit card and keep it safe till the admission process is finished. Applicants should also take the valid ID proof in the exam center for verification. A student will not be given the entry to the exam hall if he/she doesn’t possess the admit card.
