Eligibility Criteria for Odisha ITI Admission 2023

The following eligibility criteria should be fulfilled by the candidates applying for Orissa ITI admission 2023:

Age limit:

  • The age of the candidates as on 1st August 2023 should not be less than 14 years.

Academic qualification:

For non-engineering trades:

  • For 6-months Smartphone Technician-Cum-Application Tester trade: Those with a pass in class 10th or its equivalent exam from a recognized board are eligible.
  • For 1-year Dress Making, Sewing Technology, Food & Vegetable Processing, Stenography – English, Secretarial Practice, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Baker & Confectioner, Dairying, Desktop Publishing Operator, Floriculture and Landscaping, Health & Sanitary Inspector, Horticulture, Photographer, Food Production (General), Food Beverages & Guest Service Assistant, IOT Technician (Smart Agriculture), IOT Technician (Smart City), IOT Technician (Smart Healthcare) and Computer Operator & Programming Assistant ( Specially for Visually Impaired) trades: A pass in class 10th or its equivalent exam from a recognized board is required.
  • For 2-year Dental Lab Technician trade: Candidates should have cleared their class 10th or its equivalent exam from a recognized board.

For engineering trades:

  • For 1-year Sheet Metal Worker trade: Candidates with a fail in class 10th but who have passed the class 8th can apply.
  • For 1-year Plastic Processing Operator, Pump Operator-Cum Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Plumber, Foundryman Technician, Mechanic Tractor, Marine Engine Fitter, Industrial Painter, Computer Hardware and Networking Maintenance, Welder, Carpenter, Mechanic Repair & Maintenance of Heavy Vehicles and Basic Cosmetology trades: Applicants need to their class 10th pass or its equivalent exam from a recognized board
  • For 2-year Wireman trade: A fail in class 10th exam but a pass in class 8th exam is required to be eligible.
  • For 2-year Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Draftsman Mechanic, Draughtsman Civil, Mechanic Refrigerator and AC, Instrument Mechanic, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Attendant Operator Chemical Plant, Laboratory Assistant Chemical Plant, Tool and Die Maker, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Technician Mechatronics, Textile Wet Processing Technician, Automobile, Electrical, Fabrication, Process Plant Maintenance, IT Sector, Production and Manufacturing, Painter (General), Mechanic Mining Machinery, Surveyor and Mechanic Agricultural Machinery trades: The applicants should have cleared their class 10th or its equivalent exam from a recognized board to be eligible.

Odisha ITI 2023 Application Form

There will be a common application form for Orissa ITI admission 2023 released through online mode. Candidates can apply for the admission process by visiting the official websites dtetodisha.gov.in or samsodisha.gov.in.

  • To obtain the application form, the candidates need to submit a registration form first.
  • Details like name, gender, DOB, phone number, email id, etc will be asked in the registration form.
  • Candidates can login to their account using their phone number as user id and the created password to fill the application form.
  • Rest personal details of the candidates along with the academic details like qualifying year passing marks, marks obtained, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature into the application form in scanned format.
  • After providing the details as asked into the application form, the candidates can submit their applications.
  • A printout of the application form should be taken to be kept safe by the candidates. A hard copy will also be required to be verified and submitted at the nodal center.

Application fee:

  • The candidates need to submit a non-refundable amount of Rs. 100/- as Odisha ITI application fee.
  • To pay the application fee, online payment gateway will be provided and the payment can be done using credit card/ debit card or through net banking.

Verification of Documents & Application

  • After online submission of application form, the candidates need to reach the nearest nodal center for verification round.
  • A copy of the application form along with important original documents should be carried to the nodal centers.
  • The e-Admission Validation Team Member at Nodal (ITI) Center will compare the information provided in the form with the relevant documents.
  • If all the information matches with the documents, verification will be considered successful.
  • Only successfully verified candidates will be considered while making of the merit list.

Important Documents

The following documents should be carried by the candidates while reporting for the verification process:

  • A printout of the Common Application Form (CAF)
  • Subject wise mark sheet in the school letterhead duly signed by the Principal with seal of the school for class 8th pass student
  • Compartmental HSC mark sheet for the applicants passed compartmentally
  • Certificates for claiming reservation, if any, from concerned authority
  • Certificates for claiming weightage from concerned authority
  • Resident Certificate/ Nativity Certificate/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar Card/ Ration Card to avail district reservation in Govt. ITIs

Preparation of Merit List

  • On the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the qualifying exam, a merit list/ selection list will be prepared.
  • The selection list will be uploaded on the official websites of DTE Odisha in the month of July 2023 (tentatively).
  • Candidates whose names appear in the selection list will be able to download their intimation letter.
  • Details of the institute allotted will be communicated to the candidates via the intimation letter.
  • Selected candidates then need to report to the allotted institute to complete the rest process of admission.

  • Reporting candidates must carry with them all their important documents in original and photocopy.
