Through Odisha DET candidates are selected for various diploma courses offered in numerous government and private polytechnic colleges in Odisha. The candidates seeking admission to Diploma in Engineering/ Diploma in Engineering (Lateral Entry)/ Non-Engineering Diploma Courses/ Diploma in Film and TV courses may apply in online mode. There isn’t going to be any entrance exam, the authorities of Odisha DET 2023 shortlist the candidates based on their qualifying exam marks.

  • Mobile number provided during registration will act as your username in order to log into the official portal.

Odisha DET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of Odisha DET 2023 depend upon the diploma course in which the candidate is seeking admission. Aspiring candidates may check the eligibility of some of the diploma courses as given below.

Engineering Diploma

Diploma Course Educational Qualification Age as on 1st July 2023
Diploma courses (all engineering except mining & drilling) Passed 10th standard or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. Plus, 30% marks each in English, Mathematics and Science subjects Minimum 14 years
Diploma course (Mining and Drilling Engineering) Passed 10th standard or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. Plus, 30% marks each in English, Mathematics and Science subjects Minimum 16 years
Part-time diploma course Must have passed 10th class exam with 35% marks and at least 30% marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects. Plus, the candidate should have completed 2-year ITI after 10th standard

Must have passed 10th class exam with 35% marks and at least 30% marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects. Plus, the aspirants need to have at least 2 years full-time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ education and government, autonomous organizations in a relevant field

Non-Engineering Diploma

Diploma Course Educational Qualification Age as on 1st July 2023
Pharmacy The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 35% aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/ Biology subjects. Plus, 30% marks in each of the subjects mentioned above Minimum 16 years and non-upper age limit.
Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM & CT) Passed 10+2 in any stream with at least 35% aggregate marks and 30% marks in each subject. Minimum 16 years and non-upper age limit.
Cinematography or Sound and TV Engg 10+2 in science stream with at least 35 marks in aggregate 16 to 28 years

Odisha DET 2023 Application Form

The candidates who are eligible can submit the application form in online mode. Important details regarding the admission process are as follows.

  • The authorities will make the application form available at the official website i.e. www.dtetodisha.gov.in.
  • To access the application form, the candidates first need to register by providing their basic details.
  • The username and password are generated at the time of registration. Please note that your mobile number will act as your username.
  • After registration, the candidates may log in and fill academic, contact and personal details in the main application form.
  • Additionally, the candidates also need to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature.
  • The size of the photograph and signature must not exceed 100 Kb and 30 Kb respectively.
  • The application form submitted will not be considered valid unless a candidate pays the application fee.
  • Aspirants are advised to take a printout of the application form submitted and fee receipt for future references.

Application Fee

The application fees for Odisha DET 2023 are as follows.

  • SC/ ST/ PC/ Female candidates: Rs. 200/-
  • All other candidates: Rs. 250/-

Mode of Payment: Candidates may pay the application fee online using ATM-cum-Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.

Odisha DET 2023 Merit List

  • The authorities will publish different merit lists for various courses after the application form submission.
  • The merit lists are prepared based on the marks secured by the applicants in the qualifying exam.
  • Please note that a separate merit list will get released for outside state candidates.
  • Candidates getting their name in the merit list will be allowed to take part in the e-counselling process.

Counselling and Admission Process

  • Those applicants who will get their name in the merit list will be invited to take part in the online counselling process.
  • In the counselling process, the candidates are required to provide their preference of course and colleges.
  • The documents of candidates are also verified during the counselling process. (Only for those candidates who documents are not validated online)
  • After seat allotment, the candidates need to visit the concerned college to finish the rest of the admission formalities.
