Odisha DET 2022: Syllabus, Application Form, Eligibility

The Directorate of Technical Education, Odisha will be organizing the admission process granting admission to the students in first-year diploma courses offered by the colleges/institutes in the state. Candidates interested in pursuing a diploma in engineering, technology, architecture, non-engineering, film and TV courses must apply for the Odisha DET 2022. The application form can be obtained from the official website of the DTE, Odisha.

Candidates should note that only those applicants can appear for Odisha DET who fits the eligibility requirements set by the authority. Odisha DET 2022 Application Form

The application form for the Odisha DET can be procured only through the online mode by visiting the official website of the Odisha DTE. Candidates are required to enter their personal information, educational details, bank details and other relevant documents in the form. After finishing the application form, they must pay the required application fee. Male applicants need to pay Rs. 250/- whereas, SC/ST/PC and female candidates must pay Rs. 200/- towards the application fee. The stated fee can be paid through debit card/credit card/net banking. Before submitting the application form, students should thoroughly check the details entered in the form. Once the form submission is done, candidates won’t be able to edit their particulars in the form.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha DET 2022

It is important for all the applicants to fulfill the eligibility criteria as stated by the authority or else they won’t be considered for admission. Here are the eligibility criteria through which they can ensure if they can participate in Odisha DET or not-

Diploma in engineering (except mining and drilling) A candidate must be minimum 14 years old. No upper age restrictions Candidates should have passed in HSC or its equivalent from BSE, Odisha or its equivalent board with English, maths and science as compulsory subjects. They should have secured at least 35% aggregate marks and minimum 30% marks in each subject.
Diploma in mining and drilling A candidate must be minimum 16 years old. No upper age restrictions
Diploma in modern office management A candidate must be minimum 16 years old. No upper age restrictions Candidates should have done 10+2 with any stream from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent board with minimum 30% marks in each subject.
Diploma in pharmacy A candidate must be minimum 16 years old. No upper age restrictions Candidates should have passed class 12th with science stream from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent and have obtained 35% aggregate marks in PCM/B and 30% marks in each subject.
Diploma in engineering (Lateral admission to 3rd semester) A candidate must be minimum 14 years old. No upper age restrictions Candidates should have passed class 12th from CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent with PCM subjects or Vocational in any Engineering Trades or 2 years ITI in Engineering Trade/COE Trade with pass in HSC examination conducted by BSE, Odisha/ 10th standard examination declared equivalent by BSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination.

Odisha DET 2022 Merit List

After going through the applications received, the authority will sort out the ones that fit the eligibility criteria and prepare a merit list in order of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. A separate merit list will be made for outside state candidates. The selected candidates will be invited to appear for e-counselling. Only those candidates can participate in the counselling whose name appears on the merit list.

Counselling and Admission

Following the Odisha DET 2022 merit list publication, the authority will invite the candidates shortlisted as per the merit list for online counselling. During the counselling, all the relevant documents of the candidates will be verified. Thus, candidates need to produce the same at the counselling venue. They will be asked to indicate their preference for course, branch and college. The counselling will be done in multiple rounds. After the choices are locked, candidates will be allotted a seat in a college where they need to report for completing the admission related paper-work and other formalities.
