NIMCET 2019: Eligibility Criteria, Important Dates, Pattern

The first thing that candidates look for is the official notification to apply for any examination. For NIMCET 2019, the official notification will be released probably in February 2019. Eligibility Criteria for NIMCET 2019

The eligibilities needed to submit the application form for NIMCET 2019 is as mentioned by the authority. The eligibility criteria are-

  • The students need to qualify 3 years Bachelor degree (in B.Sc (Hons.)/BCA/BIT/B.Sc) or B.E./B.Tech or equivalent examination from any recognized University.
  • The students who have passed graduation from an open university can also apply for NIMCET 2019.
  • The minimum marks to be scored in graduation are 60% (for reserved category applicants the minimum marks is 55% marks).
  • The students studying in final year of graduation can also apply for NIMCET 2019, however they have to submit the proof of passing the examination during admission.

How to apply?

The application forms will be released by the authority in February 2019. To get the application from the students need to visit the official website and click on “Apply Online Link”. This is the link to download the application form. All the students should be ready with the details to fill the application form correctly such as personal details, academic details, contact details, scanned images of photograph & signature etc. After reviewing the filled in details you can submit the application form.

Next is to pay the application fee. The fee to be paid by the General & OBC students is Rs. 2000/- , whereas for reserved category students the fee is Rs. 1000/-. The fee has to be paid through online mode via debit/credit card or net banking.

Examination Pattern

The examination pattern to get admission in MCA program through NIMCET 2019 are as discussed below. You can go through it to know the pattern of the examination much better to score well. These scores will affect your performance in the merit list.

  • The examination of NIMCET 2019 will be conducted through offline mode.
  • There will be total 120 questions of MCQ type in question paper of NIMCET 2019.
  • The question paper will be available only in English medium.
  • The students will get 2 hours to complete the question paper.
  • There will be 4 marks assigned for each correct answer & 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The question paper will have 4 sections. The No. of questions assigned to each sections is as follows-

Syllabus NIMCET 2019

The examination syllabus of NIMCET 2019 is consists of these areas- Mathematics, General English, Computer Awareness, Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning. The question paper will have the questions based on these topics. The candidates can follow previous years’ question paper to prepare for the examination. The syllabus of 10 & 12th standard can also be followed to prepare for some sections such as Mathematics, General English, Computer Awareness etc.

Admit Card NIMCET 2019

The admit card is an important document that is required to enter the examination hall. The admit card will not be issued by post rather it will be available only at the official website of the authority. The authority will issue the admit cards in the month of May 2019. All the candidates should take the print out of their admit card as it is a must needed credential for NIMCET 2019.


As of now there is not confirmed date issued by the authority stating when the result will be declared for NIMCET 2019. From past year’s data we are assuming that the result will be published online in June 2019. However, the actual date for the declaration of result will be released once the official website is released. The ranks obtained in the examination will directly affect the merit list. The admissions will be provided through merit basis.

Admission Process

As we have discussed earlier that the admission will be offered through merit basis. There are 2 more factors that will also affect the allotment of seats- No. of seats available & the choices made by the candidates.

Those candidates who have qualified the entrance examination of NIMCET 2019 will be eligible to mention their choice of institution. The authority will allocate the seat to the deserving candidates and he/she has to report at the allocated institute to confirm the seat. From here you can proceed with the admission formalities to become a part of that institution.
