NEET 2020 exam is likely to be held in the 3rd week of May 2020. The admit card will be announced after 15th April 2020 based on situation of Covid-19 across the country.

NEET 2020 application form has been released on 2nd December 2019, the exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2020. Get application form here. Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will be made through NEET. The eligibility criteria applicable to appear in NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to the candidates desirous to take admission to INIs like AIIMS.

Information at a Glance

  • Submission of NEET 2020 online application form has been started from 2nd December 2019.
  • You are restricted to apply for NEET exam in online mode. There is no provision of offline submission of application form.
  • Students can submit their application form through NTA official website- / only.
  • Students must provide their own mobile number and email address.
  • Students need to upload their photograph (between 10 kb – 200 kb) and signature (between 4 kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
  • They don’t need to send/submit confirmation page or any other documents to NTA by post/fax/hand.
  • Submitting false information will restrict you to appear in future exams conducted by NTA.
  • The exam fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances. The possible application fee will be Rs.1400/- for unreserved category and Rs.750/- for OBC/ SC/ST/PwD/Transgender. Service/Processing charges & GST will be payable as per the rules.
  • Students can make payment of application fee through credit card, debit card, net banking and e-challan.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down by the authority. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to take the NEET examination.

Age limit: A candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2020. Upper age for candidates from General category is 25 years and 30 years for candidates from OBC/SC/ST categories.

  • For Unreserved Category: born on or between 05.05.1995 and 31.12.2003
  • For SC/ST/OBC/PwD Category: born on or between 05.05.1990 and 31.12.2003

Educational Qualification: A candidate must have qualified class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.

Percentage Required: A candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks in the class 12th.

NEET Application Form 2020

Aspirant for NEET 2020 can avail the application form via online mode only. The form can be obtained by visiting the official website of the NTA. Candidates need to register for the exam before proceeding for the application form. Once the registration is done, the login details will be sent to the registered Email ID and mobile number. Using these details, candidates need to login and fill the NEET application form. Candidates will be required to upload the scanned copy of signature and photograph while filling the form. They will also have to pay a certain amount of application fee for the exam. The applications received without the payment will be considered invalid.

What do you need to keep ready?

  • Details such as your name, mother’s name, father’s name, Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/ Passport number/ Election Card (EPIC No.)/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/Other valid Govt. Identity Card Number, Address, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, email id etc. must be kept ready.
  • Photograph: size of 10 kb to 200 kb in JPG/JPEG format
  • Signature: size of 4 kb to 30 kb in JPG/JPEG format
  • Students have to provide one of the following identity details:
  • Indian Nationals of all States: Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), Ration Card Number, Election Card (EPIC No.), Bank Account Number, Passport Number or Number of any other ID card issued by Government.
  • Foreign Nationals/ OCI/PIO: Passport number
  • NRIs: Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits), Passport Number

Instructions to apply online for NEET 2020

  • You need to read the information brochure and confirm eligibility for the exam.
  • Candidates have to provide a complete postal address with pin code and email address (own or parents) for future communication with NTA.
  • Candidates must ensure that they are providing their own mobile number and email address.
  • Candidates belong to the State of J & K need to submit online Self Declaration for seats under 15% All India Quota.
  • The application form must be filled and submitted in online mode. There is no need to send confirmation page or any other documents to the authority.

Application Fee

The candidates from the General /OBC category need to pay Rs. 1400/- whereas, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories need to pay Rs. 750/-. The fee can be paid through Credit card/Net banking/Debit card/UPI/E-wallet.

NEET Admit Card 2020

The admit card for NEET 2020 Examination can be downloaded from the official website of NTA. The admit card will contain the details such as exam date, venue, reporting time etc. Candidates should keep a printout of the admit card for further use. The admit card must be carried to the exam hall, without it the entry will be denied to the students. Candidates need to paste a photograph on the admit card and one photograph also needs to be carried along with the admit card. The admit card will not be sent by post or by any means other than the one mentioned.


You can check the result from the official website. The result will be announced after the careful evaluation of the answer sheet. Students can download their results for future reference. To download the result, candidates need to log in using their credentials. The NEET result will be considered by the most of the medical colleges across the country for admission into UG programmes.

NEET Counselling 2020

    At my 1st attempt ai had no any idea what to prepare….at my second attempt i was weak in chemistry….. but this time i was prepared through self study throughout the year…..i worked hard alot….and was full confident to score 550+…..
    But the problem is i have Migrain from 7th class and i took tratment 2-3 times but its not completely irradiated…..
    Actually this time…
    When i was attempting paper(neet2019) i was about to complete half of biology and suddenly headache stat….that was such intense ache that i was anable to sit as well….
    I don’t know what to do now…..should i apply for neet 2020 or left my dream here…..
    I want to give neet 2020 bcoz it’s my dream from 7th class….but now my moral is little low…..i have ery enthusiastic personality…..i had always motivated myself thoughout the year but don’t know this time im feeling so low….
    If u can help me to come out of this…it will be very helpful for me….

      Rumours are in every field nowadays. You don’t need to worry as you are eligible for NEET 2020 as per last year brochure. Because, only 50% marks is required in PCB and candidates should be individually pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. If someone is telling you about 60% marks then tell him/her to show the official notification. In the absence of official notification, these rumours are considered invalid. I suggest you to concentrate on your studies rather than thinking these things. Good luck!

The upper age clause was firstly introduced by NTA in brochure in 2019 and later it was removed through an official notification. May be- there will be no upper age limit in NEET 2020. I hope there will be no upper age limit in NEET 2020 but no body can confirm till the official notification not released in this regard.       Yes, it was proposed to be held twice in 2019 but due to some reason later decided to conduct once last year. This year, it is highly expected that the exam will be held twice a year. However, it will be confirmed only after the release of its official notification.

      SC/ST category ke liye upper age limit 30 saal hain. Iska matlab candidates should be born on or between 05.05.1990 and 31.12.2003. Halaki, pichle kuch saalo m aisa dekha gya tha ki upper age limit baad m notification k dwara hataya gya but wo us saal k liye tha bus. Agar aap information brochure ko read kare to avi v upper age limit 30 saal hai SC/ST ke liye.

      Biology/Bio-technology and English should be studied in class 12th and candidates should have achieved 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. Relaxations can be availed by reserved category candidates.

      You asked two important questions and i am answering both of them below:
      First question: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam can take the test.
      Second question: You can appear in both the exams- best out of the two will be considered as final result.

      As per the officialy, age of candidates should be 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course. It means you are eligible.
