NATA 2017 – The NATA 2017 is also known as the National Aptitude Test in Architecture. The NATA exam is organised and conducted by the CoA i.e. the Council of Architecture. This test forms a single window system for the selection of students for the B.Arch. programmes in the various colleges of India. Almost all the architecture colleges in India admit candidates on the basis of NATA clearance. This year, the exam is going to be held on April 16, 2017 for a single day in offline mode. NATA 2017 – Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of an exam are a set of certain rules and conditions which are required to be satisfied by the candidates for appearing for the exam. These norms are set by the exam conducting authorities. If a candidate is not successful in satisfying these norms, then he/she should not apply for the exam. The eligibility criteria for the NATA 2017 have been mentioned below.

  • The candidate must have passed the class 10th or SSC examination to be eligible for the exam.
  • For admission to the B.Arch. course, the candidate must have qualified the aptitude test in Architecture and must have obtained at least 50% marks in the 12th class qualifying examination.
  • The NATA score is applicable for 2 years only.

NATA 2017 – Application Procedure

For the candidates who want to appear for the NATA 2017, they shall have to register online through the official website of NATA. The link for the same has been given below. The exam centres will be activated in the month of April 2017 but the registration process shall start from January 2017. The final dates have not yet been released but they shall be notified here soon. Read the steps given below.


  1. Candidates must click on the link above to register for NATA 2017. it must be noted that this is not the direct link. The direct link will be updated here when it will be available.
  2. Candidates will have to enter the email id and set a password for registering.
  3. Candidates will then receive a confirmation for the registration and a link to fill the application form with all the personal details and educational details.
  4. The next step will be to pay the application fee of the exam which is mentioned as follows.

NATA 2017 – Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of an exam defines what all in contained in the question paper. What type of questions is asked, what are the maximum marks, etc. These details must be known to every candidate who will be appearing for the exam. The details regarding the exam pattern of NATA 2017 are given as follows.

  • The exam is held in two parts i.e. computer-based test and pen and paper based test.
  • The pen and paper based test is the drawing test for which the time duration is 2 hours and total 3 questions are asked.
  • The computer-based test comprises of 40 questions of the objective type.

Identification Documents

The list of the identification documents which must be brought to the exam hall is mentioned on the official website. The candidates will have to carry the mentioned identification documents without which they shall not be allowed to appear for the NATA 2017. Therefore, all the candidates must check with the required documents list and bring them to the exam hall.


The result for the NATA 2017 along with the scorecard of the exam will be disclosed on the 4th working day after the exam. The result, as well as the scorecard, will be uploaded on the official website of NATA. The candidates will be able to check the result by logging in to the official website using their credentials.     I would like to appear for the NATA 2017. I finished and passed out my 10th, CBSE on 2015.Now am pursuing my 12th Matriculation in National Model School in Coimbatore.
    My date of birth is 26-11-2000.
    I am lagging by 4 months in age.
    Since, i have appeared for my 10th, CBSE Exam and passed out with 8.6 marks on 2015.
    I am desperate to appear for NATA 2017, Please let me know.

  5. My daughter has already written NATA in 2016. We were told that the result is valid for 2 years. Can she claim admission in next year based on 2016 result.

  6. My daughter studied in Saudi Arabia from 6th to 12th CBSC and she belongs to Telangana State.
    Can she appear the NATA test?
    Will she be considered as local or non local or NRI and what fee to be paid at the time of admission and till the completion of course?
    Can she appear the exam before her 12th class result?
