KLEE 2022: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria

Admissions into LLB and LLM courses offered by law institutes of Kerala state will be offered on the basis of entrance exam, KLEE. This is a state-level entrance test and is conducted separately for admission into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM courses. The entrance test is expected to be held in online mode as per the specified schedule. Interested candidates will be able to fill their application forms in online mode. KLEE 2022 Major Highlights

  • Only the candidates belonging to the state of Kerala will be eligible for any kind of reservation.
  • The process of application, release of admit card, entrance test, result, all will be completely online.
  • There is no need to send the printout of the application form or any other documents to the CEE.
  • Answer key after the exam will be released by the authorities on CEE website. Candidates unsatisfied with the answer key can submit their grievances.
  • The grievances must be accompanied with supporting documents and fee of Rs. 100/- per question paid via DD.
  • No application or answer key grievance will be accepted after their respective time period is over.

KLEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for KLEE 2022 are given below in detail:

For 3-year LLB course:

  • Nativity: The candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
  • Age limit: There is no lower age limit for admission. The upper age limit will be as per the decision of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
  • Educational qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks (42% for EBC and 40% for SC/ ST candidates) in aggregate is required.

For 5-year integrated LLB course:

  • Nativity: Applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit: Candidate should complete 17 years of age as on 31st December 2022.
  • Educational qualification: The candidate should have cleared the class 12th or equivalent exam securing at least 45% aggregate marks (42% for EBC and 40% for SC/ ST candidates).

For LLM course:

  • Nativity: Candidates of Indian nationality can apply for KLEE 2022.
  • Age limit: There is no upper age limit for admission to the LLM Course.
  • Educational qualification: Those who have passed the 5-year or 3-year LLB exam with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible.

KLEE Application Form 2022

Interested candidates who seek admission into law courses offered by the institutes of Kerala can submit their applications online. The application form will be released on the official website of CEE cee.kerala.gov.in.

  • The first step will be the registration of the candidates by providing basic person details to generate an application number and password.
  • Using this application number and password, the candidates can open their application form and provide rest other details into it.
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the candidate should also be uploaded into the application form.
  • Other important documents (list given below) should also be uploaded into the form in scanned format.
  • Once all the entries are made into the application form, it can now be submitted along with the required application fee.
  • After successful submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Documents to be uploaded in application form

Soft copies of the following documents should be uploaded into the application form:

  • Nativity proof
  • Category certificates from Tahsildar for SC/ ST candidates
  • Non-creamy layer certificate for reservation/ fee concession claims for SEBC/ OEC candidates
  • Income Certificates from the village officer concerned in case of candidates whose family income is upto Rs. 6 lakhs
  • Inter-Caste marriage certificate issued by Tahsildar for candidates who are children of inter-caste married couple of whom one is SC/ST
  • Non-creamy layer certificate for candidates who are children of inter-caste married couple of whom one is SEBC
  • SSLC/ Birth Certificate/ Passport for proof of date of birth
  • Certificate in support of special reservation, if applicable
  • Attested copy of certificate from the medical board for Persons with Disabilities
  • Any other documents mentioned in the notification of the entrance examination

Application fee:

  • Candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 650/- as application fee (Rs. 325/- for SC/ ST candidates).
  • Submission of application fee can be done either through online mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking) or via e-Challan.

KLEE Admit Card

  • The candidates who apply successfully for the exam can download their admit card from the website cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center.
  • Details of the exam schedule and center will be mentioned in the admit card of the candidate.
  • No candidates will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam in the absence of a valid admit card.
  • Candidates are advised to take multiple printouts of the admit card to keep it safe from loss or damage.

KLEE 2022 Exam Pattern

The KLEE exam pattern for both LLB and LLM courses is given below:

  • Marking scheme: For each correct response the candidate will be awarded 3 marks

KLEE Result 2022

  • The result of law entrance test will be released on the official website of the CEE kerala.gov.in.
  • Candidates can check their result from the website using the details such as roll number.
  • On the basis of marks obtained in the exam, a merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared.
  • The authorities will conduct the counseling session on the basis of candidates’ names in the merit list.

KLEE 2022 Counseling

  • Counseling of the shortlisted candidates will be held by the relevant authorities as per the prescribed schedule.
  • The complete details of the counseling process will be made available on the website of CEE.
  • The eligibility and documents of the candidates will be verified at the time of counseling.
  • After successful verification, the candidates will be allowed to provide the choice for colleges for admission.
