JKCET 2022: Application form (From 17 March), Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date (postponed), Syllabus

JKCET 2022: Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JK BOPEE) is conducting the JKCET 2022 to offer admission into B.E. / B.Tech programmes in various government and private colleges of the state. JKCET 2022 exam will be held on 25th May 2022 and the application form of the same is available from 17th March 2022. The candidates who satisfy the required eligibility conditions may fill and submit their JKCET 2022 application form as per the scheduled dates. The entrance test will be held in offline mode at different centers in the state of Jammu and Srinagar.

Eligibility criteria for JKCET 2022

Candidates seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech Engineering Courses through J& K CET exam 2022 must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

Nationality/Residence: An applicant must be permanent resident of J&K State

Qualification: Candidate must have qualified 12th/10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with no less than 50% marks (40% marks for the candidates belonging to reserve category)

Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with English, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as their optional subjects.

Those who are appearing in 12th class examination may also apply for the exam.

Age limit: The age of candidate should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December of the relevant year

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the JK CET exam.

JKCET Application form 2022

JKCET Application Form 2022 will be available online only through the official website of the BOPEE as per the prescribed schedule. While filling the application form, candidates have to provide required personal details like name, gender, category, DOB, address and their qualification status. After filling the application form, candidates have to upload some original scanned documents such as Certificate of permanent residence; 10th class or equivalent examination certificate representing Date of Birth, mark sheet of qualifying examination, reserved category certificate (wherever applicable) etc. Applicants also have to upload a recent passport size Photo, Scanned copy of the Signature and Thumb Impression as per the prescribed format.

For the successful submission of the application form candidates have to make the payment of Rs. 800/- as an applicable fee through “Integrated Payment Gateway” with the help of Credit Card/Debit Card. After submitting the application fee, an Acknowledgement page with transaction details will be appeared. Take the print out of the same for future reference. It should be noted that, the authority will release the admit card for those candidates only who have submitted the application form in the prescribed manner on or before the due date.

JKCET Examination Pattern 2022

The examination will comprise of single question paper with three sections including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 180 questions. Each section will consist of 60 multiple choice objective type questions. The time duration given to complete the exam will be 3.00 hours. JKCET Syllabus 2022

It is important for the candidates to have an adequate knowledge of JKCET 2022 Exam syllabus in order to prepare well for the entrance test. Generally, the syllabus of entrance test is based on the subjects and topics studied in 12th class i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Admit card

Candidates who registered successfully can collect their admit card online from the official website of board within the prescribed date. Admit card is an important document which candidate has to carry at the exam center. No candidate will be allowed to enter exam centre without holding a valid admit card. The admit card will comprise the details like exam venue, candidate roll number & name, date and time of the examination and other important instructions.

JKCET 2022 Answer keys

Once the exam is conducted, the answer key will be published on BOPEE’s official website on the same day or by 12 noon on next day. The answer key will remain available on website for three days only. In case of a candidate finding any discrepancy in the answer key can make representation within three working days after the test is conducted.

Result and merit list

The authority will announce the JKCET result in the form of a merit list. In order to check and download the result and merit list, candidates need to enter the year in which exam is conducted. The merit list will contain the name of all those candidates who have cleared the entrance exam with scoring minimum cut off marks. The board will publish two merit lists for open merit category and reserved category separately. The selected candidates will be called for counseling process as per their merit rank. The final selection of candidates for admission to B.Tech courses will depend on their performance at the entrance exam and eligibility.

JKCET 2022 Counselling

The process of JKCET counselling will be held in the online mode. Candidates can fill their choices for courses and institutions during the counselling round. For this, they have to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 1200/-. The seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s rank in merit list and their filled choice of course and institute. After the successful completion of seat allotment, candidates have to get enrolled in the allotted institution and course before the stipulated date.
