JEE Main Result 2020– The Result for JEE Main has been declared on 17th Jan 2020. The result shall be released in two parts. The first part shall comprise of the announcement of the Scores obtained by the candidates in the exam. Whereas, in the second part, the All India Rank of the candidates will be declared. JEE Main Result 2020

The Result of JEE Main has been released on 17th Jan 2020. In April, only the scores of the candidates will be declared. The result shall be made available to the candidates online via the official website. Candidates will be able to check the result online by entering their registration details. The JEE Main result can be used to determine the number of things. These are given as follows.

  • Using the result, candidates will be able to plan for future as to what rank they are expected to get and where they will be eligible for the admissions.
  • The JEE Main result will decide the eligibility of the candidates for the JEE Advanced exam. Only the candidates who qualify the JEE Main will be allowed to appear for the advanced exam.
  • Through the JEE Main All India rank, the candidates will be eligible for admission through the Central Seat Allocation Board in the various institutes such as NITs/IITs and others.
  • With the Part-1 of the result, the candidates will have an idea of the rank they will be getting in the exam.

How is the result determined?

Since the JEE Main exam contains negative marking, the overall result will be calculated by implying the negative marking as well. For all the correct answers, 4 marks will be allotted and for all the wrong answers, 1/4th marks will be deducted. After implying all these conditions, the final score will form the basis of the declaration of the result. The JEE Main result declared by the exam authorities shall be final.

JEE Main Result – Score Card/Rank Card

The scorecard or the Rank Card release shall form the second part of JEE Main result 2020. The scorecards will be posted on the official website for downloading. It must be noted that no scorecards will be posted to the candidates. They shall be required to download them from the official website only. The link for the same has been provided below. In the month of June 2020, the scorecards or the Rank cards will be made available to the candidates for download.
