One of the Indian institute of Technology (IIT) will conduct the JEE Advanced 2020 exam in order to select the candidates for admission to various UG engineering courses such as B.Tech, B.S, B.Arch, Integrated Etc. JEE Advanced 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be as follows:

Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based Test)

Number of Papers: 2 (both of them will be compulsory)

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours each.

Type of Questions: Objective Type Multiple choice questions will be asked.

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Marking Scheme: Negative marks may be awarded in case of incorrect answer. The exact marking scheme will be available in the “instruction to candidates” section at the time of exam.

Language of Exam: English and Hindi

Note: Both the papers will be conducted on the same day.

JEE Advanced Syllabus 2020

Chemistry: Gaseous and liquid states, Atomic structure and Chemical Bonding, Energetics, Chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, solid state, solutions, surface chemistry, transition elements, ores and minerals, extractive metallurgy, preparation, properties and reactions of alkanes.

Physics: Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and magnetism, optics, modern physics etc.

Mathematics: Algebra, matrices, probability, trigonometry, analytical geometry, differential calculus, integral calculus, vectors etc.

Architecture Aptitude Test: Freehand drawing, Geometrical drawing, 3-D perception, Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity and Architectural awareness etc.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be as follows:

Age Limit: The candidate should be born on after the 1st October 1995.

Note: 5 year relaxation will be given to the candidates from SC, ST and PwD categories.

Number of Attempt: A candidate can attempt JEE exam maximum two times in the consecutive years.

Appearance in class 12th: The candidate should appear for the class 12th exam first time either in the year 2019 or 2020.

Performance in JEE Main: The candidate must be in top 2, 24,000 candidates in JEE Main exam.

JEE Advanced Application Form 2020

The candidates need to register for JEE Advanced 2020 exam online through the official website i.e. www.jeeadv.ac.in. The candidates have to enter all the required details in the application form very carefully. After entering the details, the candidates have to upload the scanned copies of following documents.

  1. Class 10th certificate or Birth certificate
  2. Class 12th certificate
  3. Category certificate (if applicable)

After registration, the candidates have to pay the registration fee online.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2020

The candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website. The admit card will bear the details like name, roll no. photograph, address, exam center etc. The candidates have to carry the downloaded copy of admit card at the exam center. The original admit card will be issued to the candidates during the paper I of the JEE Advanced 2020 exam. The candidate should keep the original admit card intact till all the admission formalities gets completed.

JEE Advanced 2020 Answer Keys

The answer key for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will release on the official website. Before releasing the answer keys, the authorities will send the copies of candidate’s response through their registered email id. The authorities will also invite feedbacks from the candidates on the answer keys.

JEE Advanced Result 2020

The result of JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be declared online through the official website. Candidates have to check the result from the official website only as the authorities will not send the result card by post. Along with the result, rank cards will also be updated on the official website. The seats will be allotted as per the ranks obtained by the candidates in JEE Advanced 2020 exam.

JEE Advanced Counselling 2020

The successful candidates will be invite for the JEE Advanced 2020 counselling to be conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). The candidates have to enter their choice and get the document verified at the time of counselling. The allocation of seat will be done on the basic of rank scored by the candidates. The counselling will be concluded in many rounds depending upon the availability of seats.
