IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2022 corresponds to the parameters established by the institute which a candidate must satisfy in order to appear for the IIT Joint Admission Test. Before proceeding for the application form directly, candidates are highly recommended to check their eligibility status to ensure if they can appear for the exam or not. Ineligible applicants will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2022
Nationality
Indian and foreign national candidates can apply for IIT JAM 2022. However, the foreign nationals will need to satisfy the rules and regulations of the Admitting Institute(s) related to the foreign students.
Educational Qualification
- A candidate must have completed his/her bachelor’s degree in any discipline. As per the new eligibility criteria- Candidates need to be JUST Pass in the qualifying exam. There is no minimum percentage or CGPA/CPI to be scored in the qualifying exam.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply for the examination.
Note:
- Proof of the qualifying degree must be submitted by the last week of September 2022.
- At the time of admission, candidates will need to provide a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical professional.
- Candidates might also go through a medical fitness test at the time of admission.
- If he/she is not found to be physically fit then his/her candidature is liable to get cancelled.
