The IFCAI Business School (IBS) conducts an admission test for selection of candidates into its MBA, PGPM and PhD programmes. The test, known as IBSAT 2024, will be held in the month of December 2024. Complete selection process will comprise of the entrance test followed by GD and PI. Admission to the candidates will also be offered on the basis of their CAT/ GMAT/ NMAT score. Candidates who meet the eligibility can apply for the IBSAT in online mode from July 2024 (tentatively).
IBSAT 2024 Highlights
- Candidates who have not done graduation or post graduation from an English medium institute will be required to submit TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score.
- Only applications submitted within the prescribed time frame will be considered for processing.
- Exam center will be allotted to the candidates as per their choice made in application form and is subject to availability.
- Those who fail to report on time for GD/ PI or any other event related to selection will be disqualified.
- Last date for application varies for the candidates who wish to appear for IBSAT and those applying on the basis of CAT/ GMAT/ NMAT. Check the deadlines carefully.

IBSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The program-wise eligibility criteria for appearing in the IBSAT 2024 exam are provided below:
2-year management program (MBA/ PGPM):
- A graduation in any discipline from a recognized university scoring a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and medium of instruction as English is required.
- All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
PhD program in management:
- The candidates should have done graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate and medium of instruction as English.
- In addition to this, a full-time post graduation degree in Management with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from a recognized university securing no less than 55% aggregate marks is required.
- Those with full-time post graduation in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Statistics, Sociology, Public Administration, Mathematics or allied discipline are also eligible but they have to undertake the first year MBA courses as a prerequisite for the MBA program.
- Applicants with a professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS scoring 55% aggregate marks in minimum can apply too.
- All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
PhD program in Economics:
- Candidates with graduation with 50% and above marks and post graduation in Economics or allied discipline with 55% and above marks are eligible.

IBSAT 2024 Application Form
- There will be a common application form for IBSAT 2024 for the different IBS campus. Candidates can apply for the entrance exam by visiting the official website www.ibsindia.org.
- To obtain the application form, the candidates need to purchase application number and password.
- For receiving these credentials online, the candidates need to submit a registration form after which they will receive application number and password via email.
- Candidates can also purchase offline voucher and use application number given at the top of the voucher as login id and voucher no. found under the scratch area at the top of the voucher as password.
- Personal details like name, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, etc and academic details like qualifying year passing marks, marks obtained, etc will be asked in the application form.
- The candidates will also have to upload their photograph into the application form in jpeg or gif format of size maximum 25 KB and approximately 140-160 pixels.
- Candidates applying for admissions on the basis of CAT/ GMAT/ NMAT will have to provide details related to the corresponding exam.
- After providing the details as asked into the application form, the candidates can submit their applications.

- The cost of the IBSAT 2024 application form will be Rs. 1800/-.
- Payment of application fee can be done using credit card/ debit card or through net banking.

Slot Booking & Admit Card
- Successfully registered candidates can book the slot for appearing in the entrance exam based on their convenience and availability.
- After slot booking, the candidates will be able to download their admit card for appearing in the exam.
- A printout of the admit card along with a valid identity proof should be carried by the candidates to the exam center.
- Entry into the examination hall is prohibited without these documents.
- The admit card should be kept safe by the candidates till the whole selection process is over.
IBSAT 2024 Result
- The result of the entrance exam will be declared online on the official website www.admissions.ibsindia.org.
- To check the result, the candidates will be asked to provide their application number and password.
- Candidates who clear the exam will be shortlisted to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
- A list of such candidates will be prepared and they will be invited to attend GD/ PI as per the schedule and venue decided by the authorities.
IBSAT 2024 Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will have to clear the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round in order to be considered for final selection.
- Apart from this, past academic record of the candidates will also be taken into consideration.
- Final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their combined performance in aptitude test, GD & PI and past academic record.
- Those selected will then have to get their eligibility and documents verified before they are granted final admission.
- Admission will be granted to the candidates into the campus of their choice based on their ranking and seat availability.
