IBPS Clerk 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet the eligibility criteria listed below in order to apply for the IBPS Clerk Examination 2023.

Nationality

Candidates with any of the following nationalities are eligible.

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Tibetan Refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 to settle here permanently
  • Person of Indian origin who migrated from Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam for permanently settling in India

Age Limit

  • The lower age limit is 20 years and the upper age limit is 28 years.
  • Please note that the age will be calculated as on 1st September 2023.

The relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the candidates from different categories as explained below.

  • SC/ ST candidates – 5 years
  • OBC – NCL candidates – 3 years
  • PWD – 10 years
  • Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who are not remarried – 9 years
  • Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen – Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years (8 years for SC/ ST Disabled Ex-Servicemen) up to maximum age of 50 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years
  • Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 – 5 years
  • Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only) – 5 years

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have completed the graduation from a recognized university in any field.
  • Aspirants should possess a certificate/ degree/ diploma in computer language or must have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ College.
  • Aspirants must have a valid mark sheet/ degree certificate on the day of online registration.
  • Matriculate ex-servicemen having obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after completing not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union can also apply.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Application Form

The application process of IBPS Clerk 2023 will take place online through the official website i.e. www.ibps.in. The complete process of application is explained below.

  • To access the application form, candidates have to visit the official website of the IBPS.
  • In the application form, aspirants need to enter their personal details including name, gender, date of birth, category, email id, phone number, etc.
  • Additionally, candidates have to provide their academic details as well like the qualifying exam, percentage of marks, university name, passing year, etc.
  • Photograph and signature of the candidates are also required to be uploaded in the application form.
  • Once all the details are entered, candidates must verify them and ensure that each of them is correct.
  • The application form complete in all aspects must be submitted along with the application fee before the last date.

Application Fee

  • The application fees for the candidates of various categories are as follows.
    • General/ OBC candidates: Rs. 600/-
    • SC/ ST/ PWD/ EXSM candidates: Rs. 100/-
  • The fees must be paid online using options like a credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ IMPS/ Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit card will be published on the official website. Candidates have to enter their registration number and password/ date of birth in order to download it.
  • An admit card comprises crucial information including centre, venue address, date and time of the exam.
  • Please note that the admit cards of preliminary and main examination will release separately.
  • There is a provision for a separate admit card for the scribe in the main exam.
  • It is compulsory for all the candidates to carry a valid admit card in order to appear for the IBPS Clerk 2023.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Result and Selection Process

  • To check the result of both preliminary and main exam, candidates have to visit the official website.
  • Only those candidates will be eligible to appear for the main exam who will clear the preliminary examination.
  • The merit list for selection will also be prepared by the authorities according to the marks secured by the candidates.
  • Please note that there is a provision of the sectional cutoffs and an overall cutoff in the IBPS Clerk 2023.
  • To get selected for the recruitment, candidates need to clear both sectional and overall cutoffs.
