IARI Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022
The eligibility criteria for IARI Admission 2022 are provided below:
- Candidates with any bachelor’s degree or B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.) are eligible to apply for admission.
- M.Sc/ M.Sc (Agriculture)/ M.Tech/ ME degree in relevant specialization with at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ ST/ PC candidates) is also required.

Application Form for IARI Admission 2022
Application form for IARI Admission 2022 will be released on the official website of the institute www.iari.res.in. Candidates who meet the prescribed requirements for admission can apply for the same.
- Before starting the application process, the candidates are required to make payment of the application fee.
- In the application form, the candidates will have to provide personal details such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, etc.
- Academic details like highest qualification, passing year, marks obtained, etc will be asked in the form as well.
- Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded into the application form.
- Once all the information is entered in the application form, the candidates can proceed with its submission.
- A printout of the application form should be taken and kept safe by the candidates for future reference.
Application fee:
- The application fee will be Rs. 1000/- for UR/ OBC category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST/ PC/ CWSF category.
- Payment of the application fee can be done through online mode using net banking/ debit card/ credit card.
Important Documents
Self-attested copies of the following documents must be enclosed along with the printout of the application form:
- Matriculation (Class X) certificate for Proof of the date of birth
- Master’s degree certificate and marks sheet
- Other Backward Class, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Physically Challenged
- Certificate (whichever is applicable) from the authorities empowered to issue such certificate of verification issued not more than six months before the date of application/ admission
- Certificate issued by the competent authority to the children/widows of the security forces.
- Certificate to be produced by candidates who will appear for their M.Sc final exam in 2021 in the prescribed proforma along with the transcripts/ mark sheets of the completed course
- Copy of bank counterfoil mentioning the details of online submission of fee naming the name and branch of the bank UTR no. and date of payment made
IARI 2022 Exam Pattern
A basic overview of IARI exam pattern 2022 is provided below:
Entrance Exam
The weightage for entrance examination is 80%. The candidates will have to appear for entrance exam consisting of one paper of three parts: Part-I (General Agriculture) and Part II & III (Subject Paper). The minimum qualifying mark for appearing in the interview is 50% for UR /OBC, 45% for SC/ ST/ PC candidates.
Interview
The weightage for interview is 10%. Candidates qualifying in the entrance exam will be called for interview. The candidates may download their interview letter from June 2022 onwards.

IARI Exam 2022 Admit Card
- The IARI 2022 admit card will be released online and can be downloaded from the official website of the institute.
- After downloading, the candidates should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to exam center on exam day.
- Only the candidates with a valid admit card and identity proof will be allowed to appear for the exam.
- Details of the candidates and the exam such as name, roll number, venue, date, time, etc will be printed on the admit card.
IARI Exam Result 2022
- Candidates can check the result of the IARI entrance exam 2022 by visiting the official website.
- Qualified candidates will have to appear for the interview round.
- On the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam and performance in the interview, a merit list of the candidates will be drawn by the authorities.
- Merit after the interview and choice as exercised by the candidate in the application form shall be the criterion for selection in the respective institutes.

- Candidates need to attend the counseling round as per the schedule communicated to them via the official website.
- Reporting candidates must carry with them the important documents in original and photocopy for verification.

IARI Admission 2022 FAQs
I haven’t completed my master’s degree yet. Can I still apply for IARI admission 2022?
Candidates who appear at the master’s degree final year exam in 2022 are also eligible to appear for the entrance examination provisionally. However, they will have to submit documentary evidence of their eligibility on or before the interview failing which they shall not be considered for interview.
Is there any special requirement to be considered for IARI admission?
A good knowledge of English is essential to pursue the courses under IARI.
How do international students apply for IARI admission 2022?
Application forms for foreign nationals are available with each Embassy and Ministry of Education in each country. Foreign students are required to send their applications along with certified copies of the detailed marks sheets starting from the Matriculation / High School level examination, either through the Indian Embassy/ High Commission located in their country.
What if I am unable to report for admission to the institute in the given time period?
Those candidates who fail to report to the institute within the given time frame will lose their seats. No request in this regard will be entertained from the candidates under any conditions.
