GSAT 2022 examination is an admission test for students to enroll in various UG and PG science courses offered by the GITAM Institute of science, Vishakhapatnam. Through the exam, candidates can get admission into various disciplines of the courses like B.Sc, BCA, M.Sc, MCA etc. To be eligible for admission, candidates should apply for the test through the official website. Eligibility Criteria for GSAT 2022

The eligibility criteria for GSAT exam is as follows-

For UG program

Course Educational Qualification
BCA Applicants must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/university
B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Candidates should have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/university with PCM subject group.
B.Sc (Biotechnology, Chemistry and Microbiology) Candidates should have cleared class 12th from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
B.Sc (Maths, Statistics and Comp. Science) Candidates should have passed class 12th or its equivalent from a recognized board/university with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
B.Sc (Microbiology, chemistry and Biochemistry) Candidates should have cleared class 12th from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology subjects or have done D.Pharmacy/ vocational course with Fisheries/Sericulture/ Dairying/D.MLT

For PG Program

Course Educational Qualification
M.Sc Applied Mathematics Applicants should have done B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the subjects and Maths & Physical sciences in class 12th
M.Sc Physics Applicants should have done B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics and any other subject from a recognized university
M.Sc Environment Science Applicants should possess a degree in BEM/ B.Sc. in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences / B. Tech. / B. Pharm. Science
MCA Applicants should hold any degree with Mathematics at +2 level or Degree level or equivalent examination
M.Sc Chemistry Applicants should have done B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized university

GSAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates can download the application form through the official website of GITAM. The application form can also be obtained by post from the principal, GITAM Institute of Science along with a DD of Rs. 550/- drawn in favour of GITAM payable at Vishakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Candidates opting for integrated M.Sc chemistry course must pay Rs. 600/- as the application fee. Separate application form is to be filled for different courses.

Candidates should carefully fill the details in the application form. If by mistake they enter the wrong details then they need to download the fresh application form. To avoid wasting time, candidates should fill the form with uttermost care. Students also need to paste their recent passport size photograph in the space provided in the form. After completing the application form, candidates should send the form with the DD and the relevant documents at the address given below-

GSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

The Exam pattern for the GSAT examination is as follows-

  • Exam Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper based)
  • Exam Duration: 1 hour
  • Type of Questions: MCQs
  • Language: English
  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for marking the right answer
  • Negative Marking: Not applicable

Syllabus

The syllabus for the test for admission in the Undergraduate program is as per the curriculum specified for class 11th and 12th. Candidates need to study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology subjects of class 11th and 12th. Those seeking admission in PG courses need to study for the exam as per the relevant UG syllabus for the course they want to enroll.

Preparation Tips for GSAT 2022

Here are some of the useful preparation tips to clear the exam-

  • Go through the syllabus first and prepare strictly according to it.
  • Avoid jumping to the complex concepts without furnishing the basic concepts first.
  • Make short notes wherever possible. These notes will also you during revision.
  • Solve sample papers on a regular basis.
  • Stay away from the distractions like mobile phones, relative, television etc for a while.
  • Don’t forget to revise the topics you’ve studied on daily basis.

GSAT 2022 Admit Card

Candidates can secure the admit card for the GSAT test either by online mode or through offline mode. They can download the hall ticket from the official website of GITAM and in case they’ve chosen to fill the form offline mode, then they’ll receive the admit card through post. Those who do not get the admit card on time should inform the principal of the GITAM Institute of Science on time. Candidates should thoroughly check the details printed on the admit card and must reach the venue printed on it an hour prior to the exam. The admit card should be preserved safely till the admission is finished.

Result and Counselling

The authority will announce the GSAT 2022 Result most probably a week after the commencement of the exam. Those who clear the exam will be informed about the same via SMS and Email. The result can be checked from the official website of the GITAM. After the declaration of the result, a merit list will be prepared by the authority to shortlist the candidates for further process. The candidates will be selected as per the marks obtained by them in the exam. Such candidates will be invited for the counselling process where a seat will be allotted to them in the institution.
