GATE Counselling 2022: The registration of CCMT counselling for GATE exam will commence probably in the month of April 2022. Indian institution of Technologies (IITs) will not organize a common GATE Counselling for granting admission to various PG courses.

Aspirants have to register separately to the various IITs after the declaration of official GATE admission notification. Counselling process

The GATE CCMT Counselling is an online admission process which is conducted by NITs and other centrally funded institutions. The GATE counselling process is strictly based on the GATE score card. The entire counselling process will involve following steps:

Step 1: Online Registration, Choice Filling and Choice Locking: 

At first, selected candidates have to register themselves in the CCMT official website and then pay the applicable registration fees. On the successful payment of registration fee, applicants will be allowed to fill their choices of preferred courses. After choice filling, candidates are advised to lock their filled choices at the time of the counselling process.

Step 2: Allotment of Seat, Seat Acceptance fee payment and Reporting:

In this step, allotment of seats will be done on the basis of choices filled by candidate and merit list. Once the seats are allotted, candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fees and report to the allotted centre in person as per the date and time specified by the authority.

Step 3: Admission to Allotted Institute

After the allotment of seats, candidates are required to complete the provisional seat confirmation process by making the payment of seat confirmation fee. After the payment of seat confirmation fee, candidates become able to download the provisional seat confirmation letter from the official portal. After completing the above steps, candidates should report to the allotted college with required certificates and documents for taking the final admission.

Candidates must carry the following documents while appearing at the counselling/ document verification process:

  • Original GATE scorecard
  • Admit card.
  • Provisional seat allotment letter
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Photo ID proof
  • 12th class mark sheet
  • Mark sheet scorecard of qualifying examination (for all semester).
  • Passport size colored photograph
  • Category certificate (if valid)
  • Seat acceptance fee proof
