BITSAT 2022 may be conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology & Science to provide admissions to the integrated first-degree programmes. The programmes will be offered in the field of science, engineering, and pharmacy. The interested and eligible candidates can apply for this entrance test by submitting the application form online. The admit card has been released now. The exam will be conducted online and the paper will be only in the English medium. This article provides important information related to BITSAT 2022 such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, etc. in detail.

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2022
Please read the minimum eligibility criteria for taking BITSAT exam.
For all programmes (except B.Pharm):
- Candidates should have passed the class 12th exam of 10+2 system or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with proficiency in English.
- A minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is required.
For B.Pharm:
- Those have passed the 12th examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with proficiency in English are eligible for BITSAT 2022.
- Candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.
- A minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology subjects and at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology is compulsory.
Only the candidates appearing for 12th examination in 2022 or who have cleared it in 2021 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2022. The candidates who have attempted class 12th exam more than once, the latest performance will be considered, given this attempt includes the complete subjects of class 12th. Candidates studying in any campus of BITS are not allowed to appear for this exam.
BITSAT 2022 Application Form
The candidates who wish to appear for the BITSAT 2022 will have to register themselves. The application form will be available online on the official website bitsatdmission.com. In the application form, the applicant will have to provide the personal and academic details and upload scanned copies of required documents. The candidates will also be allowed to choose three exam centers in India. The candidates can also choose Dubai as their test centers. Such candidates, however, will not be able to choose any other test center. After completely filling the form, the candidates will have to make the payment of the application fee. The application fee is Rs. 2950/- for male candidates and Rs. 2450/- for female candidates. All the candidates who choose Dubai as test center (male or female) will have to pay an application fee of USD 70 (Rs. 4500/-).
After the candidate has submitted the form along with the fee and realizes that he/she has made an error in the form, he/she will be able to make correction when the correction window opens, i.e. in the 3rd week of March 2022.
Note: In addition to applying for BITSAT 2022, the applicant will also have to apply for BITS admission providing the details of their class 12th marks and preference of degree programmes. The window for this will open separately.
Slot Booking
Depending on the number of candidates and the preferences made by them, the Institute will release a final list of test centers. The candidates can book the date and slot of the examination as per their convenience and seat availability.

In case the candidates do not get the center of his first preference, the next preferred centers will be allotted. If the institute is not able to allot any center of your choice, the applicants will be allotted a center either at Pilani, Goa or Hyderabad campuses of BITS. Such candidates will be given accommodation in the campus hostel at nominal charges.
BITSAT 2022 Exam Pattern
Here is a quick analysis of the BITSAT exam pattern:
Mode of exam: The paper will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode. The paper will only be available in the English medium.
Note: The applicants are advised to get familiarity with computers, keyboard and mouse operation before appearing for the exam.
Duration of exam: The total duration of the paper will be 3 hour with no break in between. There is no time limit for individual subjects.
Number of questions: There will be a total of 150 questions and all the questions will be of objective type (MCQs).
Marks distribution: Each question carries 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each answer marked wrong. There will be no marks awarded for questions not attempted and the will not be allowed to choose more than one option as correct answer.

The candidates who attempt all the 150 questions given in the paper will be given a choice to attempt 12 extra questions from PCM/PCB, 4 questions from each subject. This will give the meritorious candidates a chance to score higher. However, wrong answers in this section may lead to decrease in the total score as the scheme of negative marking is applicable in this section also. The questions will be selected randomly from a large question bank and each student will get a separate set of questions but with a same level of difficulty.
While attempting the 150 questions in the main paper, the candidates can go back to the previous questions and change the answers. But once he/she enters the section containing 12 extra questions, going back to the main paper to edit the answers will not be possible.
The registered candidates will be able to practice the sample question paper made available on the official website so that they can get a clear understanding of the exam pattern.
Schedule of Exam
BITSAT 2022 will be conducted in 2 slots: morning and afternoon. The expected timing for morning slot will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and for afternoon slot it will be 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The actual schedule will be updated as soon as the Institute releases the official notification.
BITSAT Syllabus
The syllabus for BITSAT follows the curriculum of the 11th and 12th standard. The candidates can follow the NCERT books to prepare for the BITSAT 2022.
BITSAT 2022 Admit Card
The candidates who have registered successfully and reserved their test dates will be able to download their admit card/ hall ticket for BITSAT 2022. The admit card will contain important candidates’ details and the information about the test center allotted to them. Only the candidates will the original downloaded admit card will be allowed to take the exam. The candidates should also bring a pen for doing rough work. The sheets for doing any kind of rough work will be provided by the conducting bodies only. No other item is allowed inside the exam hall. The finger print and photograph of the candidates will be taken at the center to be matched at the time of admissions.
BITSAT 2022 Score Report
The result of the candidate will be declared in terms of the score obtained in the BITSAT 2022, along with the total number of correct and incorrect answer. The candidates can check their score on the official BITS website on the next day of the test. The candidate can take out the printout of their score report and keep it for future usage.
Merit List and Admission
The admission to candidates will be provided as per the merit list. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in BITSAT 2022. There will be two merit lists prepared- one for the B.Pharm courses and one for all other courses except B.Pharm. However, the candidate appearing in the BITSAT 2022 will be considered for admissions only if he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria. The candidates aspiring for admissions will also have to submit admission application with class 12th marks, preferences for different degree programmes and the required fee. The prescribed form and the list of degree programmes to be offered will be provided to the candidates on the official website only.
The students getting 1st rank in their respective board exams (central and state board) in the year 2022 will be granted direct admissions. However, such candidates will also have to fulfill the above-mentioned eligibility requirements.
Tie-Breaker
- The marks obtained in the Mathematics/Biology will be taken into consideration.
- If the tie still does not break, the marks secured in Physics will be considered.
- Further tie is eliminated by Chemistry marks.
- The last tie-breaker is the marks obtained in PCM/PCB in class 12th.

I score 207 in BITS PILANI entrance exam 2019 which seat I can get for engineering
I also same problem can i take aseat i bitsat by scoring less than 75percentage in pcm from andhra pradesh board
sir i want to know how much marks are required in bits 2019 to get mechanical branch in pilani campus.

My score in BITSAT 2018 is 340 but my pcm % is less than 75% though I had applied for improvement this year but pcm is not improved so much i.e., 73% . But my dream is always to take admission in bits Pilani since 11th class.
So i’m again going to apply for improvement this year in all subjects as a private candidate.
So I want to know sir will I eligible for BITSAT 2019 ?
