AP PGECET 2020: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern
Andhra University, Visakhapatnam will conduct the AP PGECET 2020 exam on behalf of the APSCHE. This exam is a gateway for admission to M.E, M.Tech, and M. Pharma courses in the colleges affiliated to APSCHE. The application form for AP PGECET 2020 is available from 9th March 2020 and the candidates will be able to submit the application form only in online mode.
Only the candidates from the state of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for the AP PGECET 2020 exam. In this article, we will discuss complete details regarding the exam including exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, application form etc.

AP PGECET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate aspiring to appear for the AP PGECET 2020 exam needs to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Only Indian Candidates are eligible to apply.
- The applicant must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh i.e. must satisfy the local/ non local status of Andhra Pradesh.
- The candidate must have a relevant bachelors degree with at least 50% marks (45% for the candidates from reserved categories)
Note: The students appearing for the final year exam of the qualifying degree can also apply but they must fulfill the eligibility criteria before the date of counselling.
AP PGECET 2020 Application Form
The application form of AP PGECET 2020 will be made available only in online mode through the official website of the university i.e. www.sche.ap.gov.in/pgecet. The candidates have to register and provide all their academic, personal and contact details in the application form. After entering the details, the aspirants have to upload the scanned copy of their passport size photo and signature in the application form. The signature should be done with a black pen on white paper.
Please note that the Aadhar card number is mandatory in order to apply for the exam. Candidates are advised to keep a printout of duly filled application form for future reference.

For SC/ST candidates: Rs. 500/-
For rest of the candidates: Rs. 1000/-

It is important for aspiring candidates to understand the AP PGECET 2020 exam pattern in order to prepare for the exam.
Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based Test)
Number of Questions: 120
Type of Questions: Objective type Multiple Choice questions will be asked.
Maximum Marks: 120
Language of Exam: English
Marking scheme: 1 Mark will be awarded for a current answer. There is no provision of negative Marking.

AP PGECET 2020 Preparation Strategy
The applicant should be well prepared in order to obtain good marks in the AP PGECET 2020 exam. Here are some tips and tricks you may follow in order to prepare well.
- First of all, make a proper time table for your studies which you can follow practically.
- Go through the exam pattern and syllabus to be more familiarized with the exam.
- Make short notes of important topics and numerical formulas so that you can revise the syllabus quickly.

- Make sure you answer every question as there is no provision of negative marking.
AP PGECET 2020 Admit Card
The admit card will be downloaded from the official website. In order to download the admit card, the candidates have to log in to their accounts. The details regarding the exam center and exam schedule will be mentioned on the admit card. It is compulsory for every candidate to carry the hardcopy of downloaded admit card at the exam center. The Admit card should be kept preserved after the exam as it will be required at the time of counselling.
AP PGECET 2020 Result
After the commencement of the AP PGECET 2020 exam, the authorities will release the preliminary key on the official website. The candidates can match their answer using the preliminary keys and file an objection if they are satisfied with the answer keys. After the preliminary keys, the university will declare the final result of the exam. The minimum qualifying exam will be 25% i.e. 30 Marks out of 120.
AP PGECET 2020 Counselling
The candidates who will score equal to or more than qualifying marks will be called to participate in the counselling process. However, while filling the seats; the first preference will be given to the candidates with a valid GATE/ GPAT scores. Remaining seats will be filled on the basis of AP PGECET merit. During the counselling process, the candidates have to fill their choice of colleges and get their documents verified. The admission will be granted on the basis of choices filled by the candidates and the availability of seats.
